Great location
Location near slopes was perfect. Studio king room was nice with fireplace. Room was clean. Fireplace was nice. However, the room was really warm all the time. We had the window and fan going most of the time and noticed others were doing the same! Coffee was not great in the room and they don't re-stock unless you are there for 5 days or more.

Not quite ski-in / ski-out but close enough!
Have stayed at the property twice: Once in a two-bedroom, next in a studio. I wouldn't describe either as "posh", in fact the two-bedroom was a bit underwhelming for $500/night. It's all about location, and while not ski-in / ski-out, the facilities are an easy walk to the lifts. My family of four would stay there again, preferably in a one-bedroom, but we'd take the studio again over the two-bedroom.

Great Location & Value
We have stayed at the Zephyr Mountain lodge, and this trip we stayed across the street at Fraser Crossing. This property is a great place for families. The property is nice and the location made it very convenient for our family. We took our 3 year old and 12 month old children. Our unit was located on the 1st floor which put us a 3 minutes walk away from the lifts. The only issue we had was with the thin doors and walls. When our baby would cry it would wake up everyone in the unit because you could hear everything between rooms. That being said, I would definitely stay here again. You cannot beat the convenience factor or the value.

If you want to pioneer a new sport, try sno biking. Winter Park was one of the first US mountains to allow this new sport. It is easy to learn and tons of fun.

Convenient and Clean
The condos at Fraser Crossing are conveniently located 100 yards from the ski base. The studio condo had a dishwasher, stove top, small refridgerator/freezer, and a microwave that doubled as an oven. There were no DVD or CD players and the clock radio did not pick up any stations so that was frustrating. Aside from that, the room was great and very clean. I would definitely stay there again!

The best place to buy Winter Park gear on the resort is a small shop called "Shirt off my Back".

Great place to stay!
I really enjoyed staying here. It was clean and everything looked new. They take good care of the place. It did cost extra for us to park under the building, but it was well worth it. Parking otherwise would have been quite a trek, and it was cold! The reason I didn't give it five stars was- the heat in our room was messed up. It stayed about 80 degrees. I called the desk, they were aware of the problem and told me to open the windows. We did, and that helped cool the place down. The other problem was that the walls were kind of thin. You could hear people walking in the halls, neighbors tv's, stuff like that. Otherwise... Had a great experience there. Very nice:)

Dining is close by. We got there at night and didn't see that there were shops across the street. Hotel doesn't really advertise that. They gave us a map of the place, but it didn't indicate what was in the buildings.

First Time
It was our first time skiing in CO and Winter Park was a wonderful place to go. We ended up staying at Founders Pointe, which was really quite nice. Our only trouble was finding the place and where to check in. The resort has a serious lack of signage to direct you. Once we got checked in we were informed of the heated parking, 3-day housekeeping, free wifi, complimentary ski lockers and hottub. The studio room had a kitchenette, complete with a dishwasher and fireplace. It was a short walk to the lifts and we would definitely stay here again if we go back.

Instead of waiting at the ticket lines near the lift, pick up your tickets in the rental shop. It's much quicker!

Great room, hidden costs at Winterpark village
An exciting 2 night stay in Winterpark was the plan. It was indeed a great hotel room, and everything was as expected. We didn't know the "policy" of arrival time and departure time - arrivals not before 4pm, and departure at 10 am. The reception told us we weren't allowed to check in early because someone was in the room, and when we checked out late at 4pm, there was a nice $75 up charge for late departure. The place was completely empty - we saw one other family in this huge appartment condo complex during our 3 days - and they still wouldn't let us in early, or go out later with out a fee. Moral of the story - if you have children who are too young to go skiing, this is a very expensive adventure. you need 2 nights to ski one day - because of there late arrival/early departure policy. Other add on was 14/night parking. Great appartment, but not happy with incosistent staff answers when we called ahead to see when we could arrive. PS. After we arrived at 4pm the first day, they said we could have arrived at 10am, since no one was in the building...

try to ski on your arrival day - get an early arrival despite what they tell you. Talk to a manager, not younger seasonal employees who seemed untrained. We skied on our departure date, and paid for the late departure fee.
