Laurelwood - Destination Hotels & Resorts

The location is exceptionally beautiful. A relaxing and cozy atmosphere. More than just an ordinary hotel room, I felt very comfortable and enjoyed my stay.

We enjoyed the features of having a condo, i.e. stove, micro and fridge and the available space. One major drawback was that it seemed there was no way to turn down the heat; we had to open a window. Temps were in the 30's in the night but the heat inside was too high and air very dry. Also, someone left an alarm set to go off at 6AM; we had hoped to RELAX and sleep in a bit!! Maids should check those things!

Great room for a couple, full kitchen, excellent hot tubs in a nice flowery setting.

This was a summer trip - my first time to Aspen. The condos were nicely located, close to the center of Snowmass, and only about 20 minutes from downtown Aspen. They were pretty easy to find and the parking was plentiful and right across the street. I rented two units since there were two couples in our party. All of the units are privately owned and although these two 1-bedroom units were the same size, they decorated totally differently. One much nicer than the other. My unit was on the top floor and had a distinctively bad odor when we first walked in. We had to open the doors and windows to really air it out. It was also amazingly hot so we had to sleep with the doors and windows open (no air conditioning). Unfortunately, with everything open, the loud voices from the courtyard below woke my wife and I up at 11:30pm, 12:30am, and 3:30am. There seemed to be lots of foot traffic and noise all night long. Next time I would ask for a unit on a quiter side (not in front). My friends had a very similar experience in thier unit which was more on the side. Also extremely hot and noisy.

We had a great time at the Laurelwood. The room was great, the hot tub was relaxing and the location was good. The Laurelwood is near the top of the hill and the views are great too. I don't think you'll find a better place for the money.

The ONLY down side was that when we arrived my wife had to use the restroom RIGHT NOW! The young man led her to our room as I was checking in (very nice), opened the door and left. He did not turn on the light. The room was quite dark due drapes being drawn. My wife has only one eye and has great difficulty under such circumstances (not being familiar with the surroundings and the switches are higher than at home) Carpet was stained and torn

The Laurelwood Condominiums were priced better than most of the local hotels and we enjoyed it so much more than a hotel room. As we were on our honeymoon, we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the fall season. Our condo had a nice CD player included in the entertainment center so that we could play our own tunes. We also enjoyed the balcony with the sound of the stream outside, and the hot tubs amongst the trees.
