outstanding budget hotel

The staff graciously helped with my requests, and let me play briefly with the resident cats. This is a budget hotel, don't expect the Ritz Carlton- but it is very well maintained and priced well, and spotlessly clean. Rooms have nice views of the mountains. Toiletries are adequate. The carpet was clean and the bed was firm and comfortable. Amenities include a small microwave and refrigerator to store bevs and food. The decor, although a bit dated, is pleasant and basic. The colors matched, and overall color scheme was better than most budget operations. I will definitely be back next time in Manitou. The location is on the main street right off Hwy 24, though a little bit out of the main sights. Highly recommended budget hotel with great staff.

visit Common Wheel artists (ceramics) in Manitou Springs. Very nice pieces from local artisans. Fairly priced.

Manitou Getaway

What made this hotel for us was the location and the owner. Our daughter loved the heated pool and what my husband and I liked was the view and the accessibility to downtown, dining, park and highway. You could tell that the owner, Arthur, took pride and truly has a love in running his business.

Check the internet for discounts to activities or restaurants that you might visit. Sometimes there are greater discounts when you make reservations online. If you don't think to do that go to a visitor center and see if they offer any discounts or specials.

Great place for the money.

My wife and I arrived late Friday, July 29. It was the first night of our honeymoon and we greatly appreciated the comfortable bed and very effective AC unit. The Continental breakfast was quite good (Coffee and Waffles are great to wake up to), and the front staff was courteous and very helpful.

unbeatablr location for the price

I was there visiting my son @ the Air Force Academy and the hotel was clean but there were no latches or chains on the doors. There wasn't a selection of channels on the t.v. and the continental breakfast was a joke. prepackaged danishes and coffee.
