hotel VQ

Stayed one night to see a concert at the Pepsi Center. The best thing about this hotel is the free shuttle to the Pepsi Center, and that its right next to Invesco Field for Broncos games. The lobby is nice, rooms are adequate, beds weren't particularly comfortable.

Overall, our stay was okay, but getting a room was a challenge. Our first room was not what we had requested, we called the front desk and they were very rude stating that they could not honor our request because we booked on Orbitz, but I could transfer to a smoking room. We accepted and moved to the 2nd room in which someone was already in. The room smelled like someone just used the restroom. We then called the front desk again and were moved to a much better room. At that point our stay was great. The rooms are not great and the beds are not comfortable, but the views are outstanding and the shuttle serivce was awesome, say hi to Larry for us, he was wonderful.

THe hotel is great for Broncos or Nuggets games. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. Beds are pretty poor though.

Great access to Invesco Field with free parking. Room was adequate. Bed very comfortable. The sportsbar is nice. Was dissappointed with the game day breakfast buffet which had very little selection. No ordering from a menu, which is understandable, but the price was not posted anywhere and was a little steep. We felt forced through the buffet line once in the restaurant.

The VQ hotel has a unique setting next to Mile High Stadium. The surrounding area is rather seamy -- I wouldn't recommend night strolls. It is interesting architecturally, being a hotel in the round. The rooms were clean and pleasant, the view nice. One odd circumstance was that I couldn't get a final invoice, a little awkward since I was on a business trip and wanted to get reimbursed. The computer wasn't working. The location is close to downtown Denver and the rates reasonable for the location.

The Hotel VQ staff were very supportive but they could not overcome the location or inherent problems with the structure. The air conditioning system is poorly designed and it's operation is based upon outside air ambient temperature. It didn't matter where you set the room thermostat the unit put out hot air since the outside temperature was 50 deg or below. We tried three rooms and they were all the same. The hotel also suffers from outside noise. From the freeway to railroad traffic to trash pickup either at the hotel or the stadium next door it was impossible to get a decent nights sleep. Good central location but its shortcomings far overshadow those.

I really enjoyed our stay here. My daughters loved the view of six flags and the childrens museuw. It was only a five min drive to the childrens museum and the downtown aquarium. The pool was fun and I liked how the pool towles were available at the pool-however many you needed. The only thing I wish it offered was a continental breakfast. We only had to drive about five min to get to a Denny's but still.

My major problem with the hotel was that our first night, each of us woke up with about 20 to 25 bed-bug bites. The room was obviously infested. They were kind enough to quickly to another room., but we spent each night in panic of more bites, which did not occur in the new room. Also, the hotel is a bit inconvenient for those without cars because it lies across a major highway, which prevents walking to most locations. They do, however, provide a free van service, which runs about every 15 minutes. Being picked up from downtown to return to the hotel can be tricky

Me and wife had a very good time at this hotel during our stay. This was our first time for this hotel and will go back next time. Downtown Denver was within minutes from the hotel, which was a plus. The room was very spacious and had a great view of downtown Denver. The staff were great and met our requests the best way they can.

I thought this hotel would be in the good part of downtown Denver. It was not. The first night some drunk college students pounded on my door at 3am. The toilet did not work properly. If you did not leave by 10am there was no room service, even on the weekend. The hotel was older than I had expected. Check-in and Check-out were easy though. The front desk staff were helpful with directions, but I did not stay out past dark given the location of the hotel.
