Beautifully Historic
Great Hotel. The folks there could not be more accommodating. Michelle the concierge was exceptional. After the first day of her arranging a private limo tour, we all felt like family. The food was wonderful. Coming from San Francisco with all the choices we have, I was very impressed with the quality of the food served, and the executive chef deserves top marks as well. I had Alaskan Halibut with risotto. Being from the west coast and have had it prepared a multitude of ways , this one is one of the top 5. I walked to the Coors Field and watched the Giants and the Rockies baseball game. What an experience. Eric San Francisco

Beautiful beautiful hotel!!! Pampered from the second we pulled up and greeted by the doorman. Car parked and luggage transported by hotel staff. Escorted to hotel room by staff who shared some of the hotel history along the way. The following morning, we decided to walk around downtown Denver and the hotel stored our luggage since we anticipated returning after check-out time.

History and luxury click in Denver
We first visited the Brown Palace Hotel in 1993, at the recommendation of a Colorado native. We instantly loved the historic character, incredible atrium, and homey pub restaurant, the Ship's Tavern. Although we were able to return a few years later, many years had passed since our last opportunity to reminisce. I found an incredible rate to stay one night to celebrate my partner's birthday. We had just spent a week in Estes Park and arrived in Denver during a blizzard. What a welcome it was to step into the lobby and instantly melt into nostalgia, the pianist playing in the background of a stately afternoon tea. We were greeted personally at the Reception Desk, informed we had been upgraded to a king-size bedroom, and escorted up to our room by a charming young man who explained all the amenities available to us. Rather than brave the elements, we decided to indulge ourselves in the hotel, returning to the Ship Tavern's bar for lunch, followed by a quiet afternoon in our room. A spur of the moment decision to indulge ourselves with 80 minute massages in the Spa capped off a totally relaxing afternoon. We ended up dining once again at the Tavern, the casual alternative within the hotel. We only left the hotel the following day to head off to the airport. What a treat to experience the hotel rather than fuffill an obligation to be a tourist in downtown Denver. For that, we will thank Mother Nature and her blizzard.

Historic building
I loved how the piano is being played from 11 am till 8 pm. The staff is excellent and will do anything. Even if you don't ask. The bed was very comfortable. If you want to eat in one of the restaraunts there, be sure to make reservations.

Good News Bad News
The Brown is a fantastic historic hotel like none I've ever seen. The Churchill Bar is the best bar I've ever been in. Unfortunatly the Palace arms and the Tavern were sub par in terms of service. Though the staff was helpful they were down right rude by Sunday Morning. I'll go back to Denver but I'll stay somewhere else.

Great location with lots to do close.
This hotel is a beautiful and well maintained hotel for being 120 years young. A very classy hotel. My only complaint is that our room was nerver made up before 4:00 and turn down service started at 5:00, just when we were returning to the hotel and getting ready for the evening we were bother two times by the maid service within 45 minutes.
