Would have been great, but carpet smelled like urine...

I thought the hotel was a good value for the price I paid...but they need to pay closer attention to their floor cleaning procedures. My kitchen floor area smelled like urine, so badly that when I went to bed, I wished I had a candle to mask the odor. I would recommend this hotel, but I would suggest that the guest ask to see the room first. I actually checked-in and then left without seeing the room, and returned very late in the evening, too exhausted to change rooms.

Everything you need to the price

A couple buddies and I came here for a Broncos game from the east coast. The location is like a 5minute cab ride from DT and the same for the stadium (if that). Nothing really right around the hotel but a quick drive and you got anything you need really. I would stay here again if I ever come back - the room was nicely kept and a lot bigger than I was expecting. The lady at the front desk could have been nicer (but then again who is nice when they have to work both Saturday and Sunday). Definitely worth a stay for the price.

Great for game night

We stayed Saturday-Monday for a Sunday night Bronco's game. The room is small but has everything you could need. The free breakfast was very good. The hotel shuttle dropped us off very close to the stadium and picked us up in the same place. There is also a couple of convenience store just down from the hotel if you need to pick up snacks and water.

Absolutely Fabulous Hotel - location, amenities, services, cleanliness

I traveled to Denver alone on vacation and found this hotel not only very safe and very clean, but also in a fantastic central location. Hotels in proper downtown Denver are absurdly expensive - this Residence Inn is located only about 2 miles from the center of downtown and I was able to book for about half the price of a downtown equivalent. What makes it even better is that they have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within 3 miles of the hotel, and this area includes anywhere downtown that you would want to go. The leave the hotel at the top of every hour and will pick you up anytime, with about 10 minutes notice. The room was exceptionally clean and laid out much like a studio apartment, meaning you have a full kitchen, living room, bed area and bathroom - all with plenty of counter space and walking area. The staff was wonderfully pleasant and more than willing to suggest restaurants or cool neighborhoods to visit. There is also a really good complimentary breakfast buffet everyday until 9am (think waffles, bagels, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices) - people congregate here and it's a great time to meet other travelers. If I had to come up with a negative about the hotel, it would be that there are no elevators to the 2nd floor units so I had to lug my heavy suitcase up a flight of stairs, but I'm positive that someone would have helped me if I'd asked. I will absolutely be staying here the next time I visit Denver.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

don't try and take a cab from the Denver airport into downtown. It will cost you at least $60. Plan in advance and opt for one of the many shuttle services that you can book online in advance for about $20 + tip.

Close to downtown Denver without the high price

I plan to make this my hotel choice when in downtown Denver. Just a few minutes away and much cheaper--yet the room, staff, and breakfast were great.

Great place to stay

The hotel was very good. Although it is not located in the Denver downtown area, 16th strret mall is very close and they provide a shuttle service which brings you to any requested location within 3 miles. The room was very clean and provided with a kitchenette and a couch in front of a fire place. It almost felt like home. The breakfast was good with fresh waffles each day and a varying choice of french toast, omelette, bacon, scrambled eggs or pancakes. The staff was very polite and helpful. As my way comes back to Denver, I would definitivly come back.

Older property, incompetent staff

Average hotel, rundown looking exterior. Just found out they double charged me for my stay on my debit card - what a hassle! I do not recommend!

Nice weekend

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn. It was very close to my son's house and several very good restaurants were within 1 to 3 miles. The room was very nice, very clean, very large, with a full kitchen. They had a shuttle that ran all day until 10 on the hour to take you anywhere in a 3 mile radius. We had our own car but nice to know for the future. The staff was very personable and helpful. The breakfast was OK, not great but certainly more than adequate. We booked it online with our car and I thought it was a very good price for all that we got. We will definitely stay here next year when we come for his wedding.
