Bad, don't stay there with kids

Pulled up at hotel and several homeless people asking for money and congregating in parking lot. Room stunk of smoke even though asked for nonsmoking room. Had cigarette burn in sheet, large hole/rip in blanket. Turned on sink and initial water was brown. Up all night with noise outside from other guests talking and paying music outside. Breakfast was pretty good except for guest walking around with visible handgun and hungover kids cursing in front of our child.

Needs repair

This place is an older outdated place. Location is nice and easy to get downtown the price was fair, but ... The bath had peeling wallpaper with mold on the cementboard, the thermostat didn't change the room temp, the front desk staff argued with a client with other guests present.

Near downtown

Perfectly average. It met the needs of sleep and bathing. Not anywhere I would hang out. Provides easy access to downtown Denver without the downtown price.

On the upswing...

The Ramada Midtown appears to be in the midst of some updating and renovations, which will only make this hotel more appealing in the future. The location is the obvious selling point here, just across the bridge from LoDo, Elitch Gardens and the Pepsi Center, and pretty close to Mile High Stadium. The room could use a fresh coat of paint (see above, pretty sure this is coming), but nothing was dirty. Linens were fresh and clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. Very reasonable pet fee, and the staff were always courteous and helpful. Free wifi dropped out one morning, but came back before I got around to calling anyone about it.

Dining tip: In Hotel

The included breakfast was a pleasant surprise... usually, you get a couple choices of generic cereal and maybe some bread to toast, but the Midtown's breakfast was great! Biscuits and gravy, waffles, ranch fries, fresh fruit, a decent pastry tray and - one morning - a very nice woman was making omelettes to order! This in addition to the cereal, toast and bagels you come to expect. Easily the best "continental breakfast" I've had for the price.

Wonderful breakfast

The motel looked run-down, but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and the breakfast included made-to-order omelets - delicious.
