Upon entering the lobby of this gorgeous hotel, guests are warmly welcomed to the rocky mountain region by way of a 20-foot sandstone fireplace. Equipped with 516 spacious guestrooms with city views, the Grand Hyatt is the perfect base for urban and mountain expeditions.NOTICE: Grand Hyatt Denver have embarked on a $28 – million dollar re-design to this long-standing and industry leading hotel. This re-design will include a complete makeover of the guest rooms and work will begin on November 19th and is expected to be completed in Spring 2013. Renovation times: Monday-Friday 8AM-6PM, Saturday & Sunday 9AM-6PM.
Lobby Remodel: From January 7, 2013 through February 2013, the lobby of the hotel will be under construction. The hotel entrance will be located on the Welton Street side of the hotel and the front desk will be relocated to the 2nd floor. Hyatt review
Pros: Clean, friendly, walking distance to shopping, bars, and restaraunts. Running track and tennis court were great. Anything we asked was brought to us promptly. We went thru a hotel discount site and got a good deal for price. Cons: Only Valet parking. No business center BUT they will print airline tickets for you. We had other travel plans to print off and was told to go to the Fedex across the street. TV picture was fuzzy. Pillows were awful. Please be advised I am sensative as my ears fall asleep with bad pillows so if this is not a problem for you then it maybe ok. After we checked out we noticed I could have asked for a foam pillow but I don't like those either. Still I would have tried as anything would have been better than those pillows.

RENOVATIONS
I arrived late at night and had hoped for a good nights sleep.Well the maids woke me at 7.45 and then the hammers and drills started at 8.00.So all in all I was very tired and felt the hotel should have made it clear that renovations were taking place

Grand Hyatt was in the process of being renovated, so there was the usual challenges with a hotel in progress. Our room was newly renovated and it was fantastic. Clean, and very nicely decorated. The only knock against the room and amenities was the lack of a coffee maker. This wouldn't be a problem if there was an onsite coffee shop, but the Starbucks was outside and near valet parking.

Great stay!
We were stuck in Denver due to the recent blizzard. The hotel staff was wonderful in making sure that they could accommodate us an additional night. They were very friendly and responsive to needs. They are updating and renovating the hotel, but we never heard a sound from it. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It is a few blocks from 16th street where there are many bars and restaurants. You can't beat the friendly staff!

Updated room
On this stay we were in one of the recently renovated rooms. It has great touches. Especially liked the motion detected night light in the bathroom at foot level. Just enough not to blind you when finding your way in a dark hotel room. The hotel was great and the staff very pleasant.

Under renovation
The front desk is in a temporary spot and the staff is nice but disorganized. Hopefully when reno is done summer 13 things will be in sync
