Food Trays in Hallways

The stay at the hotel was good. But when we got up to our level their were food trays all over the hallways. I understand its company policy trays cannot be in rooms but still I paid in the congeire level where CEO and CFO and COO stay. And this was new years eve and it took them forever to clean it up whren we complained. I would not stay at hotel if i was a CEO. And plus you have to walk two blocks to hotel from parking garage if you do not want valet parking and their valet parking is parking your car up on the sidewalk.

it was ok

I did a pub crawl in downtown denver for my birthday. they didn't offer to upgrade me...but that is their choice. because i didn't have a credit card, they had to charge $25 for incidentals & then it'll be returned in a few days...that wasn't appropriate. the room was small for the amt of money i paid. even though i wasn't in the room long...it's still kind of disappointing that the room wasn't nicer. i wouldn't recommend your hotel to my friends to stay at. my experience was not good at all.

So-So

The hotel, Denver Marriott City Center is within walking distance to the 16th Street Mall strip. We came to Denver for a concert at the Pepsi Center. It made it convenient to get to the Pepsi Center via public transportation, which was free, avoiding the hassel of parking. We also were able to walk to the 16th Street Mall for shopping and food; we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe-very good food. There is also a Chili's and other fast food places on the strip; fitting all budgets. There were several times that we were asked for money or if we had any work for money. The parking is expensive. There is no in and out privledges. If you are going to go and come back it is cheaper to use the valet parking at the hotel. The Marriott American Cafe is very EXPENSIVE. The hotel is clean but needs work; things are cracking and falling a part in the pool area. There was black silt on the bottom of the hot tub and pool. The dry sauna and steam room was a nice added feature.

There is a free shuttle up and down the 16th Mall strip. The shuttle takes you to London and Union Station where you can access the train.

Nice Downtown location

Annoying negative - I had 2 rooms with my married son in one room. On the day of his check out the bill was delieved with a sharp tapping on the door Sunday @ 7:50am. The next day I received the same annoying tapping on the door. It is amazing how this simple rude annoyance can drive noncomplainning guests away.

Best location and very relaxing!!!

This was a great night out of town. The pool was great and it was also heated!! The rooms were very tidy, for parking valet is the cheaper way to go if you are using your car, but if you are parking and leaving it, use the parking garage =). On our night out we went to The Melting Pot, which was delicious. This trip was relaxing and so comfortable, we didn't want to leave.

anniversary getaway

Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Be sure to get the breakfast as part of your room package, it is well worth the minor cost. I expected to pay more than normal for parking due to downtown location, but paying half the room cost to park one night is more than excessive in my opinion. A block away is secure, covered public parking that, while not as convenient, is less than one fourth the cost of hotel parking. Other than that, the stay was great. The location is a very short walk to the 16th Street Mall and not that far from LoDo, both of which are must see for your Denver getaway.
