Crowne Plaza DENVER

I stayed here for 3 nights while house hunting. Being exhausted from looking all day the hotel provided a relaxing environment to decompress. I did however go out and discovered the location was very close to several attractions and restaurants. I've stayed in nicer more expensive hotels but for what I paid this was a great deal.

This hotel was horrible and definitely not worth the money. LOCATION -- This was probably the only positive thing about the hotel. It was close to everything I needed, including restaurants, shopping, museums, and even a movie theater. STAFF -- The staff were not that friendly, though a couple of them were pretty helpful on the phone. The staff also didn't seem to do that job very well. For example, I asked a staff member about using the computer and printer in their lobby and the staff member forgot to tell me there was a password. Also, the staffers forgot to tell me that when you use a debit card, they charge you $25 for each night, which gets taken off your card about 4 days after you leave the hotel. AMENITIES -- Not all rooms come with fridges. You have to specify this when you check-in, I think. Also, the hotel claims to have complimentary wifi, however, the wifi is unnaturally slow. The only thing slower than the wifi is the internet on their lobby desktop. I cannot understand why the hotel doesn't invest in a faster connection, especially in 2010. ROOM CLEANLINESS/OTHER AMENITIES -- The room was only moderately clean. The floors in the bathroom were dirty. Also, there is a heater in the room (we visited at the end of April, but it was in the 30's and 40's outside), but when we turned it on, the heater was extremely loud and the air coming out of it smelled really bad, like a poop smell. In addition, although the heater worked, the windows were poorly insulated meaning that if you sat at the desk, you could feel a cold draft coming in through the windows. ROOM SERVICE -- The hotel charges a $3 delivery fee for room service, as well as a 19% gratuity. I have never heard of such a hefty delivery fee on top of gratuity. Even restaurants don't charge that much and their delivery people actually have to travel outdoors!

Good location, small average rooms, no amenities, very helpful staff

Excellent hotel and a great stay. Close to the 16th Street Mall and convenient to LoDo and the Rockies ballpark. Had a great time and the concierge was wonderful in helping us find great places to eat and hang out during our stay.

My boyfriend and I decided to get away for the weekend and found a great deal for roundtrip flight and hotel. It was just what we were expecting. Great location in the Downtown Denver area. We were able to walk to Coors field to catch a game and did some shopping on 16th street. The rooms were nice- simple, clean, modern decor. The breakfast buffet was delicious! Nice room & great location for the price! Would definitely go again.

This was a WONDERFULL HOTEL!!! I had read many many reviews and I wasnt sure if I had made the right decision...but as soon as I walked in I was greeted by a wonderfull fellow who directed me to reception. The check in is at 4pm but they let me check in at 10am....and we got a pass onthe parking cost. The staff was soo nice...the room so comfortable......the BATHROOMS WERE SO CLEANNNNNN.......everyone was great.....and the location of the hotel is perfect! walking distance from food and shopping....they even gave me a great view of the mountains.......I have no regrets about staying at Crowne Plaza and it was a good decision...im not sure why some people wrote the reviews that they did....each and every single staff member greeted us with a smile....I would definitely suggest this hotel to everyone.

I generally like this chain - but (because I booked online with [...]) they wouldn't allow me to accrue Priority points. Uncool.

The location of this hotel is great, its in walking distance of the 16th street mall. However it did seem very expensive with very few perks. The hotel didn't really have any complimentary services.

Special day Valentine's Day...

The hotel was very comfortable. The room was very clean, and we especially liked that it had a refrigerater. The location was ideal, close to everything downtown. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious & very reasonable.
