Repeaters from Kansas

We stay at The Rainbow Lodge every year. We just got back and miss it already. The location is super! It is right near Manitou Springs, Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods. We did our tourist adventures in the morning, laid by the pool in the afternoon and looked for a new and wonderful place to eat each evening. The entire family make up the staff at the motel and they work hard to accommodate every need and then some. Rainbow Lodge has become a family tradition. It takes us out of the Kansas heat and takes us to the majestic skies and mountains of Colorado. It reminds us that the simple pleasures are the best ones. There are a variety of rooms and sizes and the kitchenettes make it nice when you want a simple meal. We would highly recommend that others try Rainbow Lodge and get back to the basics of life!

A surprisingly nice little place to stay

This hotel was a nice place to stay when you're looking for clean, affordable and no frills. On the edge of Manitou, CO, it was comfortable, though older and decor was a mish-mash of older items. Bed was nice, as was shower. Owners were friendly, living at site with kids. Continental breakfast included was a bit skimpy but adequate.

Cave of the Winds was WAY over-commercialized! Take the lantern tour, not the regular tour.

Rainbow Lodge

I photographed the Garden of the Gods and this motel has a great location for getting there in under 5 minutes. It looks old and run down from the outside and could use some paint and TLC. The room looked nice but was not all that clean when looked at closely. It was okay for a 'guy' but I'm glad that I did not have my wife with me. The TV, bed, and frig all were nice & the people that worked there were nice.

A tastefully designed suite with nice decor, great kitchen and bathroom, all modern and very clean! The hosts were super friendly and very attentive. Thoroughly recommend staying here - the location is very handy to all Manitou Springs has to offer.

Small room but comfortable.

The hotel was in a great location, close to Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and Manitou Springs. Room was small but I'm sure it was because it is an older hotel. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the staff was extremely nice. Continental breakfast was not worth the effort. The room had a window air unit that made a very loud buzzing noise off and on. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

If you like to karaoke check out Meadow Muffins in Old Colorado City. Very fun and entertaining. If you like Mexican food "Amanda Fonda's" just before Manitou Springs is absolutely fantastic!
