Disappointed

I have stayed at this hotel several times and had a great experience. This time the room was on a different side of the hotel. I was staying with a friend so we had two queen beds. The mattress was lumpy, the feather pillows were leaking feathers all over and the comforters were both stained. The front desk usually was helpful but this time they were almost rude. I felt as though because I had reserved my room through another website instead of directly they didn't want to help me.

Great beds, everything else not so good

The hotel was quiet and the beds were clean and VERY comfortable, BUT: All of the exterior doors were broken and open all night. Lots of iffy homeless - and drunken college kids :) - in this part of Boulder; didn't feel safe. Everything outside the hotel (hallways, entrance, lobbies, etc.) was FILTHY and run-down to the point of leaves and dirt blowing in the hallways. This hotel was very upscale in the 80s but has not been updated since, as far as I could tell. Great location, and again the bed was very comfortable and really, what else do you need I guess? Very near University of Colorado and pretty near downtown Boulder. Gateway to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park (bit of a drive, but VERY worthwhile). Flagstaff Road (end of Baseline Rd) offers incredibly views of the city and Boulder Valley - currently closed 8:30 - 3PM M-F for repairs from last year's flood, but beautiful and accessible at night.

Just OK

My sister, daughter and I stayed at hotel from Sept 18 - 21, 2014. Location was very convenient. Room was average to disappointing. We were in the renovated section. Room felt cramped. Low ceilings. We had a king size room with a cot. The cot did not fit into the the room. We had to remove the mattress from the cot and push half of it under the bed to fit. No hot water for shower and water would barely drain in the sink. Front desk and restaurant staff could use some customer service training. Not outright rude, but not friendly either. Courtyard is beautiful and peaceful. It was family weekend at CU so the rate we paid was outrageous for the quality of the hotel. Not good, not bad ... just OK.

Great location

The room was clean and had a balcony. It was very nice. The hotel is within walking distance of Folsom Field which is very convenient. However the bar is always short staffed. Also there was a pile of bedding in the hallway from the time we checked in until we left the next day. The hotel does need to be updated.

College Reunion

The hotel was in an excellent location. There were plenty of nice stores where we could shop and there was no shortage of a variety of restaurants at which we could eat. The hotel staff was lukewarm in terms of their friendliness. The cleaning staff did an excellent job with cleaning the rooms. As a result, we tipped them big.

Due to dorms not being ready many Colorado Univ. students are being put up at hotel. This let to noise at 4:00 AM from students.

Stay in the updated part

I read in another review that the "older" part of the hotel was inconvenient and elevators were far away. WOW they were right. Room beds were comfy but the halls, etc and the rooms were outdated.
