Venice on the beach
The manager is extremely accommodating and friendly. Location was great. Everything about this place is perfect for the Venice atmosphere. Dining is close, a short walk to the strip and the beach is right outside your front door. I'm definitely coming back here when I visit Venice again.

Nice location - friendly staff
This was a well priced hotel for the area and nice location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free internet access was a great bonus. Breakfast was average. I would reccommend this hotel

Home away from Home
Like a Bed & Breakfast. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. It was great to listen to the waves breaking onshore. A perfect location for enjoying the beach. We walked in the sand where we collected seashells and watched the crazy surfers. A block away was a variety of good eating places. We were also within a couple blocks of the Boardwalk.

Stay Interrupted
Cannot fairly judge the hotel. Two hours after check-in a plumbing problem occurred that caused the downstairs showers and toilets to back up. The manager [...] was excellent, though. In the face of a lot of adversity on a holiday weekend, with no available rooms in his hotel, he was able to relocate us to a nearby hotel and the tab was taken care of. Location is perfect, 5 minute walk from muscle beach and when we checked in the room was very clean, nice with a very comfortable bed and a flat screen TV. No dining in hotel, but lots of good restaurants within a 5-minute-or-less walk. Our particular room was extremely small though and it was difficult to maneuver. That was the only drawback.

a REAL beach vacation hotel
If you want to spend several days relaxing on Venice Beach, just south of the Boardwalk but close enough to walk. No high end services like a gym or pool - but right exactly on the ocean (our room had a view of it) and really nice, laid back surrounds.
