best price close to Gondola
really close to the Heavenly gondola, hot tub and friendly staff. the end of season deal doesnt get any better. not fancy or upscaly but if really like skiing you dont need fancy amenities.

serves it's purpose well
We went to Adventure Mountain about 12 miles away and spent all day sledding. Exhausted this was perfect to kick your shoes off. This inn is perfect for a low key overnight stay. Has excellent weekend rates. I saw many of the other places that I researched literally on the same small block that looked of the same quality but charged about 100 more a night!!!! Pros: nice staff literally walk across the street to Heavenly and Marriot ski resorts and Harveys and Harras Casinos. Continental breakfast which was donuts and coffee ( gone in the first 4 minutes.) in room microwave and mini refrigerator and coffee. CONS: small rooms, basic old beds and comforters without covers. For $60 on Saturday and a one night stay its perfect.

Better than expected
No complaints at all! Breakfast update: lots of donuts, fresh fruit, oatmeal, good OJ, tea & coffee, the little breakfast room opens at 8am, perfect timing to get something quick to eat before walking over to the gondola to be first in line for the 8:30 start. Nice little place, VERY friendly staff even after having to start one hour 'early' on a Sunday morning after the Spring time change and THAT'S a tough test for anyone (they passed big time). The room was perfect, HBO was a little fuzzy but totally watchable, better than no HBO at Harrah's and Harvey's, not to mention free WiFi, not bad! Room was very clean and in great shape, etc. I will return.

great location but the beds were like granite!
The location couldn't be better. It's literally across the street from Heavenly Village and walking distance to most of South Lake Tahoe. The room had a big fridge, a microwave, coffee maker and a hair dryer. Really liked all the amenities. The free continental breakfast was just watered down OJ and a sad assortment of donuts. The worst feature were the beds. HARD AS ROCKS! I don't know if it was just our room or what but it was awful. I wouldn't stay there again. By the time we left we were all a cranky mess from lack of sleep!

Heavenly Ski Resort Access
Blue Lake Inn is great lodging for skiing. Amenities are limited but this property is excellent for a short ski trip. Clean and conveniently located within walking distance to the Heavenly lifts and local restaurants. Have stayed here 5 times over the years.

Good for the price.....
Hotel crew is very friendly. The best part is the location, just one block away from Heavenly!!. Room has average features, nothing special, room is clean. I will recommend this place to any person who wants to save money and have fun.!!!

Blue Lake Inn - Lake Tahoe
the brake fast was awfull; instead of a continental brake fast (as advertised in the brochure there was only "donuts" and cofee; the problem: the staff brought every 15 min. a tray of donuts (approx. 6 pieces) for about 20 waiting guests... location was good, they allow us also to park our car in the hotel-parking after we checked out...

Better than anticipated
Was not sure what to expect for this price. The room had a mini frig, microwave, and a bathtub. None of these were in the listing. Along with the pool and private beach access, as well as complimentary breakfast. More than made up for the construction noise from across the street.
