need to be updated
The hotel staff was fine/ The bathrooms needed to be deep cleaned didn't feel comfortable taking a bath. LOved the view of the Lake. Hotel needs to be updated with a new furniture. Overpriced for the room.

Overall Great Value
The Staff was fantastic and very eager to make our stay a good one. The hotel itself could use a little updating and the spa bubbles didn't work but the spa was still warm and great size. Our kids were actually swimming in it. Overall I think it was a great value. A little repair and maybe adding breakfast or at least a discount to the restaurant on site would be nice.

Money-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
The restuarant on site is overpriced and the food was just average. The staff however was very friendly and did a good job. I would recommend driving just a few minutes in either direction to a restaurant that is a better value.

Not a 3-Star - it is 2-star at best!
I opted for this hotel over other hotels closer to the Heavenly Village only because it was listed as having "queen" beds and not double beds in rooms with two beds. This in fact turned out to be double beds! and our 2nd floor room was so hot even when it was snowing outside that we had to turn on the AC and put it on high cool. All it did was little cooling but lot of noise. (still puzzles me why it was so hot in that room). the amenities were very basic and so worn out, even by Tahoe's standards.

Good value for the price and location
Went up for just one night to see Kenny Loggins in concert. Was a three-day weekend, so most hotels required a two-night stay, but we could only stay for one night due to other commitments. The Heavenly ski shuttle stops right in front of the hotel, so I would definitely consider staying here for a ski vacation. Black Bear Cafe serves a great breakfast and is in the same parking lot as the hotel. View of Lake Tahoe from the cafe is stunning! The bowling alley right next door also looked like fun. Bathroom was very small, but clean, and robes were provided, so it felt upscale.

Good Deal and very convenient
Good deal and close to the lake. The facility has a bowling center. There are couple of good restaurants and pub/grill in walking distance. There is an indoor ice skating place in walking distance. Our room had a microwave and a refrigerator inside with plenty of space (not occupied by the insanely overpriced drinks that is sitting out there for ages). There was a balcony/deck in our room overlooking the lake. Great view and a good place to sit during summer. My only complaint is the noisy air/heat unit, which was not a problem in other units. It did not bother me much when I put it on low speed. Overall, yes I would recommend to a friend or for that matter to a complete stranger. Convenient with plenty of parking space.

2 thumbs up
After reading reviews of hotels in South Lake Tahoe I was skeptical to book anything until I came across reviews for this hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, balcony with chairs, microwave and fridge. It wasn't near the busy area of S. Lake Tahoe but was close enough for a quick drive.

Good hotel for the $$, great spa and pool!
We visited this hotel in SLT for the first time and didn't know what to expect (as the reviews on Orbitz and other sites were mixed). The room was clean, bed was soft, had a full mini fridge and microwave in the room. Hotel is right across from the lake, but any beaches are down the road a bit. The pool area and 2 spas were really nice - spent some time both nights relaxing in them. The staff was pretty friendly and they have complimentary beach bikes for first come first serve use. We were really happy with the accommodations and hotel. They also have BBQ pits and picnic tables if you desire to cook up some of your own food. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Solid 3 star property.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Definitely go East on 50 to Highway 89 towards Emerald bay to Anderson's Bicycle rental. The staff there was exceptional and extremely helpful. If you are interested in seeing some beautiful sights, take a couple of hours and ride along the bike trail through Camp Richardson, take a stroll along Rainbow trail (cool underwater view of a creek/pond) and enjoy the weather. Bikes are $9/hr and after the first hour are prorated every 15 minutes thereafter. Can't beat the price for the adventure and view.
