Days Inn South Lake Tahoe

Great location for restaurants and lake access. Hot tub was small but hot and clean. Free shuttle bus to Heavenly is 3 min walk. Local coffee shop across the street, Hot Gossip, excellent expresso and breakfast burritos. Pillows were lumpy but overall good value.

This is a budget-minded motel for Lake Tahoe, so if your expectations are properly set, then you won't be upset by the lack of extras. It's a room with a bed, a bathroom, clean sheets and towels (rough), a TV with cable, and free wireless internet access (kinda slow as far as "high speed" goes). There's nearby access to the lake, dining, shopping(?), gambling, and Heavenly resort. Biggest complaint: my room (and I imagine every room) isn't particularly soundproof.

Booked a room here to save money but you get what you pay for. I was expecting that, but it was bad. The rooms are quite old and the bed is uncomfortable and squeaky, and the TV is quite outdated. However what bothered me most was the shower. For some reason the shower in the room was not a tub shower, but was a tiny section. The light for the shower was broken so I could not see much, but even with the little light I had I could see the nasty mold on the walls of the shower! Quickest shower I have ever taken in my life. I will not be back....

The staff was a bit stand-offish, not very happy for the business, I'm guessing. Not the best personality, but the room met our needs. Not very much of a Continental Breakfast.

Our room was cheap and it was obvious that you get what you pay for. It was an older place that needs updating (the pillows and mattresses were lumpy and old, the carpet dusty).

The room was OK and staff were nice. What I do not like the is this review I have to make. I can not get out because it is to short.

The reception was excellent. Only 3 minutes walk to the lake-front.

I should say this was not the best of the hotels I have stayed in. But being a last minute planned trip the rates were already high and we had to settle for this days inn. The rooms were ok. Definitely not worth the 110 $ that I paid. If it was 70$ may be it would have been good. In any case don't have much to complain as we only had to stay for a night.

The hotel was simple and well cared-for. The room was clean and all the amenities worked as expected, but were of basic quality. The walls were somewhat thin, but there was little road noise and despite 1.5 ft of snow and sub-freezing temperatures the hot tub was open and ready for use. The front desk service was quick and attentive, and the free wireless allowed us to watch streaming Netflix in our room!
