Great location, just older

The location is great! Walked to the casinos and the main shopping areas by Heavenly village. It is older... definitely 2 star hotel. Don't expect much. Small stall shower. Thought I was booking a room with a fireplace as the picture showed, but there wasn't a fireplace. The room was warm so we turned on the air to get circulation. Caused some stuffy noses in the morning. Bed was very soft, and tended to tilt if only one person laying on it. As long as you expect a 2 star motel and not much more, it'll be fine.

Great location for going to Harvey's Concerts

Very cozy clean rustic motel with all the features needed for most travelers. Short walk to the casinos, especially Harvey's outdoor concert area!! Only glitch was a heater or air conditioner high on the wall the kept cycling on and off at night, which I finally unplugged at 3:00 am...

Good ski Trip

Basically everything is okay, except the blinds in the room, you can't really close them all, so the light is a problem for sleep. Great location, clean room, you can't expect more for the price you paid.

Cont your towels

This place seemed like one of those family run establishments that offer little (breakfast was very skimpy), and expect a lot from customers (there was a note in the bathroom reminding us that they would check the number of towels, washcloths, and hand towels upon our departure, and if there were any missing, our credit card would be charged. We made it a point to let them know that we were not given a floor mat for the bathroom the second day so they would not charge us for it, and the lady at the front desk noted that comment on our "room record". When we checked in, the room was hot and the small window-type air conditioner worked hard to cool the room, which took more than four hours to move the temp to a comfortable level. Additionally, they also gave us a note stating that towels would be changed every two days, unless we requested daily changing, which we did...

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

The best breakfast place, with the best value was a small casino, The Tall Timbers. The food was plentiful and very good. The most expensive and least value was a little sandwich shop called, The Keys Cafe. We spent thirty bucks for a couple of half sandwiches and small salads and smoothies...crazy! Would have been a better value at $15.

Perfect perch if you are attending a casino event

The location of this hotel makes it a 'gem in the ruff.' Loved the location, smoke-free charm of the room. Staff was very welcoming. Would stay there again!

The State Line Brewery is a must stop if you like beer and great food. We had the opportunity to visit with the Beer Brewer and really enjoyed our lesson on the locally grown Hops.

Excellent location, clean, friendly staff!

The stay was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the location so close to the casino's and a private beach to enjoy. I'd stay there again if I ever get a chance to go back to Lake Tahoe.

Read this before you pick this motel.

This motel is in a look location, walking distance to all amenities. Like all motel they are noisy in the morning, with people leaving, car doors shutting, cars starting. However I knew this. The room was clean, a little repair is needed. I was on the 1st floor #124. The breakfast was not something I would advertise, not good, skipped it the next morning. Before you pick this motel beware that half a dozen motel around this one that have closed and fenced off every dark at night. Staff were fine, they work with what they have. I paid $39.00 per night I would not pay any more than $45.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

In the summer months check out the "Heavenly " gondola, it's worth the experience. The cost was, at first I thought ,was high, however I broke down and went for the $38 ride which included a $15.00 food voucher. The food and great, they smoke the meat just off to the right of the main building. I had the turkey. The beer was $8. to $9 for a glass. Something to be aware of, the chair lift to the top of the mountain was an extra $10. Not advertised till you approach the lift. That day we went and asked the lift assistant anyway, he let us on with no problem.Views are spectacular. Bring your hiking boots, great spot.
