Beautiful location, not the rooms
The location of the hotel was fantastic. The rooms looked lovely but the tv, hairdryer failed to work. The bed was quite uncomfortable and the AC was loud and abrupt!

Fairmont Santa Monica
The Fairmont was a great hotel especially for the price I got it for on [...]. They were very accommodating with all my needs. The hotel also has a courtesy car that they will take you in up to 3 miles of the hotel. The rooms were a bit on the small side, I had a ocean view deluxe with a balcony, but other than that they were great! The room was clean and had everything I needed. The view was amazing. This hotel is close to everything you need in Santa Monica, shopping, dining, beach, the Pier. I would definitely stay here again!

Everyone rushes to the Third St Promenade which is nice but take a drive down to the Main Street area in Santa Monica. Very nice shops and restaurants with a very nice vibe to the place.

My Girlfriend Loved It!!
This hotel was the perfect place to take my girlfriend for a couples retreat. It's quiet and not too crowded. The room was perfect with an amazing view of the ocean which is just across the street. It is close to many restaurants and shopping. The Fig restaurant in the hotel served a delicious Sunday brunch.

Never dissatisfied with a Fairmont
We were attending granddaughter's Law School Grad. Perfect location, had many meals there, super service so polite. always stay at a Fairmont, no surprises.

Exactly what I wanted
The Fairmont Miramar was the deluxe get-away we wanted. Gorgeous entrance, fish pond, flowering plantings, great pool with patio restaurant under orange umbrellas with wicker lounges coverd in soft terry, staff waiting to help and pleasant at all times, great food, indoor/outdoor dining with heaters, across the street from the beach and promenade, close to Whole Foods and the 3rd St. mall, a nice comfy room with reading chair and chaise, and a balcony. Whyd did we come home? Only 3 negatives, parking is expensive (park in the city lot a few blocks away), breakfast is too(try the excellent local places in walking distance), and the bathroom door is louvered, drawback.

We went to the Whole Foods up the street not only for picnic food but for presents to tkae home. They have amazing gourmet CA food products such as euculyptus and sage honeys and agave nectar that we can't get in Boston.

Tops in personal service
The Fairmont Miramar is the nicest hotel in Santa Monica. It is not inexpensive, but you will be sure to receive excellent value for your money. Personal service is tops, the residential suites are spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is that a new restaurant on premises is currently under construction and there was a lot of jackhammering going on during the day which is directly adjacent to the pool--the sound got rather irritating after a while. But even that could not fail to change my overall wonderful impression of this hotel. Proximity to Third Street Promenade is wonderful and although not right on the beach, walking is a wonderful thing to do in SM and you can do much of it from this location. Enjoy!
