Simple beachfront hotel with pool in Santa Cruz, California

Great location!
Hotel was clean & inviting..., had everthing you need for weekend visit to Santa Cruz, the staff was friendly & accommodating...and the price was right! I will be back

Good but not great
Clean room, good bed but TV very hard to navigate and figure out. Ran out of kleenex, no cups when we arrived, no washcloth. Shower unnecessarily complicated. However, GREAT location!

Great place if you find yourself in a pinch.
What I liked best about this motel is the clean bed sheets, towels & mattress I believe it was new & I had a great nights sleep. The downside was the building & rooms are old, in desperate need of a makeover. The TV is outdated & channels are only basic.The continental breakfast was a joke. No coffe, milk for cereal left on counter also the orange juice.

Bad customer service with dirty rooms.
The location is excellent for convenience to the Boardwalk and restaurants. The rooms were fairly dirty with the minimal cleaning done, although the cleaning staff was really nice. The front counter staff was not helpful at all. Our keys would not stay magnetized every time we tried enter our room. No help or solutions were offered.

It was just ok
The room was ok. I think it could have been cleaned better. For paying over $100.00 you think the hotel would include coffee in the room. We had a King size bed and the room was tight. I would not stay here again I would just pay the higher price for things that are usually in the room.

Won't stay here again
The room was small and not too bad...Bed was comfortable...location was great! However the sheets we're noticeably and severely stained; box spring cover looked like someone spilt something on it, but it was never cleaned. Explained this at front desk and eventually manager...no apology just they'd look into it, tell their linen cleaning service, and was told it was hard to clean box spring covers (their removable!) We had somewhat of a deal on this hotel, but it still overpriced for what you get. Disappointing since there was some good reviews : /

Short Trip
Location was great, parking a little tight squeeze! Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Good place to stop over along the way to next destination.

I paid $87 for a $59 room
I checked into my room after booking through the booking agency and clearly on the door it had the room rates for $59 per night. When I asked about this I was told to take ti up with booking agency.. I was upset I basically paid $79 plus tax for a room that I could have walked into and paid $20 less for.
