Value and convenience near gorgeous East Beach
The Santa Barbara Inn is located just across the street from East Beach, which is widely regarded as the finest beach in Santa Barbara. The inn overlooks the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by palm trees and gardens. The electric Santa Barbara shuttle (fees apply) stops in front of the Santa Barbara Inn, allowing guests to see the sights in the most convenient, eco-friendly way possible. Great Place to Stay in SB!
Super friendly, attentive staff. Best cleaning staff we have ever had at a hotel. Only one small negative is the continental breakfast is just that, we like our protein in the AM so we found a local breakfast place each day. Would stay there again in a hearbeat!

Get weekend retreat
Very relaxing weekend next to the beach in Santa Barbara. Great location. Trolley to State Street, very nice rooms.

Very friendly hotel staff
The hotel is very clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. The location of this hotel is great. We spent time swimming in the pool in the cloudy morning and then walked to the beach in the afternoons. The Zoo is 5 minutes away.

Old California meets Asia
This pleasure trip was to enjoy the sites, shopping and foods of Santa Barbara and the St Ynez Wine Region. The hotel was well situated to do this. There was however one member of the Front Desk Staff named [...] who clearly should not be a guest facing person and should probably find another line of work where lack of cordiality is critical. He was clueless when it came to local services, food options and tourist destinations. When asked about the location of the Nationally famous Every-Saturday-of-the-Year Santa Barbara Farmers Market he had to look it up and could only find Wednesday and Thursday listings. When asked directions to the Farmers Market he suggested we go to the Tourist Center. Turns out the Farmers Market was only eight blocks form the hotel. Other front Desk Staff were definitely better.

Santa Barbara Inn....Heavenly
This was my first visit to Santa Barbara and my hotel stay, restaurants and wine tasting at one of the local vineyards really exceeded my expectations. The views of the mountains, the beach and the general pleasant disposition of all the locals made this a truly wonderful vacation. The Santa Barbara Inn has a great location with the beach located across the street.

The staff at the Santa Barbara Inn recommended a great italian restaurant....Olio e Limone located at 17 W. Victoria Street in Santa Barbara...fabulous food and service.

Great Hotel for the location and price
Great hotel for the price and location, which is across the street from the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by Friday's free wine and cheese. Breakfast buffet in the a.m. was the typical continental breakfast, but is located in a nice large room overlooking the ocean. Hotel was quiet and staff helpful. Parking $7 a night which isn't bad, but having to do valet in and out was annoying, so we used the self park option which still cost $7 a night. Overall, a wonderful stay.

*Valet service for parking car is okay--but should be optional. *The carpet has not been upgraded and it looks it. *Location is great--staff friendly. *One day, they missed cleaning the room. *Generally, the facility looks to need maintenance in all areas--pool,carpet, bathroom & showers, walls and pictures. *Noise from outside is prevalent, as is noise from halls and adjoining rooms. *Nice place, but it looks worn out.

Try the "Waterfront" restaurant at Hendry Beach--breakfast was outstanding every day--we went 3 days out of 4.

Pleasant Stay in Santa Barbara
The website photos were a little deceptive. The truth is that while the rooms and corridors may have been (partially) redone, the hotel is a throwback to the 70s and nothing to write home about. Breakfast was adequate (toast, serial, yoghurts, tea and coffee), but not the highlight of the trip. On the bright side, the bed was among the most comfortable I have ever felt and the hotel is right on the beach. On a previous trip to Santa Barbara we stayed at the Hotel Oceana and, on balance, I would say that the 2 are evenly matched.

Westmont visit
The people were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were great. The location is fantastic, right across from the beach. WE are already planning to go back again.

Great Time
Loved Everything about this hotel except the street noise but to be so close to the beach you have to put up with it.
