Value and convenience near gorgeous East Beach
The Santa Barbara Inn is located just across the street from East Beach, which is widely regarded as the finest beach in Santa Barbara. The inn overlooks the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by palm trees and gardens. The electric Santa Barbara shuttle (fees apply) stops in front of the Santa Barbara Inn, allowing guests to see the sights in the most convenient, eco-friendly way possible. SB inn
good, but ....
excellent location which is across the street from the beach. The hotel is cozy but rooms don't have AC and rooms are slightly smaller than average. Also, no food services available

Long weekend getaway
Great location with free parking across the street. Staff was very helpful and the continental breakfast offered a nice variety of choices.

Short walk from hotel
Look for parking in neighborhoods around State Street. 90 minute parking only lasts until 6, at which point you can park on the street as long as you want. Walking distance isn't bad.

Not for the picky
This hotel has all the charm of an old building, but is need of a strong remodel. Still if you can look past that this is a great place to stay if you: Are on a tight budget Want to be close to the beach and town If you are not planning to use your room as a place to lounge. I have no complaints about this place. My focus, when coming to Santa Barbara is to be in a location where I feel safe, the staff is nice, it isnt completely robbing my bank account and I just need a place to sleep and take a shower.

Santa Barbara Inn
Great location with ocean views. Heated pool was nice. Served continental breakfast which was an added feature. Staff was pleasant. Beach across the street. Would stay there again!

Wonderful 4-day getaway
We had a wonderful time, the staff was helpful at every turn and eager to please. The rooms were very nice, hotel is in a great location to move about the city and beach. Valet parking was an added plus.

Overall a very good hotel in Santa Barbara
The room was spacious, nice, and opened right out to the hot tub, which was nice. The room was clean, hotel was generally pretty clean. Breakfast was barebones continental, but not bad for free. I only had 3 complaints: 1) The pillows are so soft that they offer ZERO support. When you put your head down, it sinks to the mattress immediately. I actually didn't mind this, but the people I was traveling with all mentioned it and were annoyed. 2) The towels were the texture of sandpaper. Literally the roughest towels I've ever used. And I am NOT a fabric snob, I really don't care much. It didn't even bother me that much, but it was remarkable how poor they were. 3) I used the valet parking. One night I arrived at 1:30 am and there was no valet on duty (which is fine). I went to the front desk (which was empty). A woman came out and I went to hand her my keys and she said "Just go ahead and park your car anywhere in the lot." They then had the audacity to charge me for valet parking for that night. When I refused to pay, they gave me no problems, which was nice. But when I walk in and hand you my keys, if you're in hospitality, you take the keys and park the car, you do NOT tell the guest to do it themselves. All these were minor annoyances. Overall a very good hotel, I would stay there again. There was also a fruit basket in the lobby, which was nice.

Weekend Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at the santa barbara Inn. The staff was very friendly and the rooms are perfect for the rates. If you are looking for glamor then this is not the place for you but if you are looking for comfort, cleanliness, perfect location, great staff, great basic rooms and a touch of class then you have picked the rioght Hotel. Thanks for a great stay.

Great Place to Stay in SB!
Super friendly, attentive staff. Best cleaning staff we have ever had at a hotel. Only one small negative is the continental breakfast is just that, we like our protein in the AM so we found a local breakfast place each day. Would stay there again in a hearbeat!
