I would stay here again!
I though this hotel was much nicer in person than on the website. Its in a good spot. The only downside was a staff member that was so rude when I asked him about parking, and the parking on Fri/Sat nights. He was the only rude staff member. I would stay here again. My friends and I liked this hotel :) I should have complained about that rude staff memevet because he really is the only downside to my experience here.

Great Value
The staff were professional, helpful, and friendly. The room were clean and quiet....the pool was clean and the spa was hot. The location was fantastic just off the freeway and close to downtown SB. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Few complaints
Decent value, comfortable bed, spacious room, central location on State Street. Only noticeable problem was a clogged bathroom sink.

Santa Barbara
Nice stay for the cost, did find a bug in the shower and window in the bathroom was open. Otherwise it was fine. Breakfast was good.

Perfectly good choice for a quick stay
I was just in Santa Barbara overnight and wanted a reasonably-priced motel. This one fit the bill - I had a room near the back which was very quiet and comfortable. The staff were helpful and had a cab waiting for me (early, even) at the ungodly hour when I had to leave for the airport. It wasn't as close to the airport as other options, but quite a bit cheaper, and at 4:30 a.m. the airport ride only took 20 minutes.

It was ok
After reading some of the reviews on here about loud partying and noise, I asked for a quiet room when I checked in. Granted it was very late at night and they may have been limited in what they could give me, I still felt it odd that they weren't quite sure of where the room was that they were giving me. Their map wasn't very precise, I guess. Oh well... I ended up next door to a room who had their TV on very loud, but they did turn it down after a while. The walls are pretty thin here...This is a fairly good sized motel (2 story) so if you're looking for some place quiet, there is going to be more foot traffic in the morning here than a smaller place. I am a light sleeper and being right on State Street, I did hear a loud siren of a firetruck going by... but the room was very clean and pretty big and the bed was very comfortable and cozy. It was not bad like some of the reviews say about loud partyers. I did not see that...it was definitely not a dump or a low class place. It was fine..

Try catching a performance at the Granada Theatre right on State Street. There is an excellent cafe next door called Tupelo Junction. Food is soooo good!

Surprised
This is really a very nice motel for the money. I was surprised how big the rooms are and really nice and clean. Amenities in the room were great. New soap and shampoo every day. The breakfast is a bit skimpy. Lots of carbs. They do have coffee 24hrs a day which is nice. Nice staff.

Lots of eating choices close by. To the east they just opened a new Chick Fil A. Denny's is almost across the street. Subway and Baskin Robbins are very close. There is also a grocery store close, but an upscale one so nothing cheap there.

Great hotel, fair price
Very comfortable, clean hotel. Nicely located. Check out Max's Cafe for breakfast. Best pancakes in the world. Right across the street :)
