One Night
Room was small, but OK. Bathroom was teeny tiny, but shower was fine. It was under $100 so not too bad for a one night stay.

nice shopping center is short walk. Included a good steak house (Santa Barbara institution), and a French pastry shop, plus a nice grocery store.

Clean, Friendly, much nicer than the rating indicated
We were greeted by friendly staff, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful - continental style, plus a self-service waffle maker, hardboiled eggs, hot or cold cereal, and yogurt. We liked the convenience of having our car parked right outside our door. Since we were enjoying both UCSB and downtown State Street, the central location was perfect for us. We didn't use the pool although it looked inviting. The only downside ... it was a little noisy ... but hey, we were in a college town on a Friday night! Thanks for a good value, we will be back.

Weekend stay
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Santa Barbara hotels had filled up, so there were very few choices that weekend. I was worried it would be sketchy but it's a nice little place for the budget conscious. Clean room, but TI-NY! Not much room to walk around beds (2) and VERY small bathroom. Three of us made do, though, as we were in town to sightsee and go wine tasting, so we really only slept there. It was clean and had modern furnishings. Also free breakfast & free parking. Right off State Street closer to the mountains than the beaches. There's a Coffee Bean across the street, plus a Trader Joe's and CVS within close walking distance.

Fun road trip
The hotel has hard to access, and difficult to see from the road. You need to make a u-turn to access the street the hotel is on. Located quit far from down town. Rooms near the pool were very noisey. **The breakfast was very well done** The staff was very helpful - they answered all questions and gave wonderful directions - helped us get everywhere we wanted to go.

Overall Average Quality at High Price
I stayed at this hotel because I had a voucher to use. Otherwise I'd say it was overpriced, but than again so is every hotel in Santa Barbara. Otherwise it's what you'd expect from a Quality Inn. Other noteworthy things. Close to Trader Joe's Close to a Ralph's Across the street from a gas station It's about a $12 cab ride to the State St bar area.
