Mason Beach Inn

After staying in a few regular motels, this one was a definite step up with beautiful room, great breakfast and very helpful staff. It was within easy walking distance to the beach area and stores yet away from traffic and very quiet.

Great find for last minute getaway. I have stayed at some of the adjcent properties before and Mason Beach Inn Is a well groomed Property with a lot of curb appeal. We had a dbl Queen room on the 1st floor over looking the pool so it was very picturesque but one of the beds in the room had a dirty comforter, which was changed immediatley when we called the front desk. We did have some noisy neighbors above us that came in in the wee hours of the morning still partying. Since the accoustics were so good we could hear everybit of it there was a lot of jumping on and off of the bed and racing around the room, slamming of doors etc. I know that mgt called the room and knocked on the door several times to try and get these people to quite down and they would for about 10 min. to 1/2 hour just in time to fall asleep and then the antics would start up again! Yikes!

The hotel was all right, nothing special. The continental breakfast was minimal. While we were there the spa was broken the entire time. They kept promising it would be repaired but it never was by the time we had to leave.

A bit of a drive for visiting our son at UCSB but perfect for an early morning stroll at a nearly deserted beach! The beds are a little stiff for my taste and the breakfast was a bit skimpy, but you just can't beat the 3 minute walk to the ocean! Staff was very helpful and friendly, and a dip in the pool/spa after a long day of walking was nice, too.

The Mason Beach Inn is a basic no frills hotel suitable for a short stay. It's convenient located with ample parking. The room was a decent size, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a strong shower jet which is often lacking in this standard of accommodation. The TV had full cable and the wi-fi worked perfectly. The rooms also have a basic fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel doesn't have much in terms of amenities - there vending machines around the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. I forgot my phone charger but was kindly lent one by the staff member on reception. As a business traveller this was a godsend as no phone and no email would have been a minor disaster. So overall I would recommend the Mason Beach Inn.

Was in Santa Barbara for a get away to see a concert. Picked this hotel because of all the good reveiws. Sorry to say was not a good one for us. The air didnt work and could not keep the window open due to a light outside. Beds were rock hard and could not sleep. TV didnt work so could not even watch. There was a door to go outside the hotel to the parking lot right outside the room which slammed every time it closed and was used a lot.

I enjoyed staying here. Everything was clean and staff were helpful. YOu could hear the water running when your neighbor flushed the toilet, but it wasn't so bad.

the only thing that would have made our stay better would to have had an ocean view. The room was clean and comfortable and it is a block from the beach.

Good location and good price compared to other hotels in area. But we were on first floor and could hear noise from second floor plus lots of door slamming. And sink is outside of toilet area So it is noisy if you habe little ones trying to sleep since you have to brush teeth/wash hands in an open area.

I loved the fact that the beach and pier were just a short walk away. The property is well maintained for the area.
