Experience a charming beachfront hotel with endless ocean and mountain views. Each of our six Spanish-style buildings offer relaxing outdoor sitting areas or lush vibrant garden courtyards. Beautiful beach rooms house vast ocean views that are apt to turn a good mood downright giddy. Soothing, summer colors are sprinkled throughout the property to instill the warm, breezy feeling that can only come from being by the shore. Bathrooms are light and shiny and every luxurious bed is clad in crisp, Italian linens ensuring a truly vacation-worthy night of slumber.

The hotel also has a state-of-the-art fitness center overlooking the ocean which you can frequent, put off or ignore all together! For a true dose of rest and relaxation, the hotel invites you to partake in a facial or massage in cozy spa. The comfortable ocean-view meeting facilities can make your stay at the beach a great success, too!

Additional amenities include: 24 Hour Fitness Center; fax, copy and printing services at the Front Desk; 2 outdoor heated swimming pools; poolside cabanas; ping pong table; outdoor seating areas with couches and umbrella tables and complimentary beach cruiser bike rentals.

A disappointing weekend

My wife and I stayed in Oceana for the weekend. This hotel was awesomely advertised online. In pictures it looks nice and perfect but in reality is disappointing. The room that we stayed in was ocean front but we could nearly see the ocean, the wash room was so tiny, the floor was nasty looking. The room itself was poorly decorated and painted. The overall experience was not great at all.

Santa barbara getaway

The pictures that were posted on the site of the hotel seem to not exist when staying there. The room that me and my wife stayed was so small. The room was decorated shabbily. The bathroom was pathetic. The wood flooring was dusty. The bed was uncomfortable. After paying a good amount of money, parking was extra which is ridiculous. All in all i thought the price doesnt match the amenities that this hotel offers.

Lovely ocean view hotel

The hotel was in a lovely setting. The grounds surrounding it were very well maintained. The staff were very helpful, friendly and courteous. The only down side was, as I was travelling alone, I was possibly put in the worst hotel room (room 116) they had and it was way overpriced. My stay was for 7 nights and I was finally changed to a much nicer room on my second last night. That however, is the only thing I have to complain about.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

I would highly recommend the boathouse restaurant at Hendry's beach. The location, staff and food were superb. Only a 10/15 minute drive from the hotel oceana.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

While the hotel is pretty, right across the street from the Ocean, has very nice outdoor sitting areas and is close to the all the SB hot spots...the rooms are basically fixed up motel rooms, small, noisy...no privacy when other guests are walking down the hall. I paid for a full Oceanview room and foolishly thought it would be a private balcony. [...]

The smallest room I have ever stayed in

This applies to Rm 243. There was literally 2 feet either side of the bed. 3 feet at the end of the bed. There was no room for a closet - it consisted of a rod suspended from the ceiling by 2 pieces of wire. If I could post pictures on this site, I would. The hotel should be ashamed of itself for having the audacity to sell this room at any price, and especially at the price I paid.

Perfect!

My sister and i met with our families for a wedding north of Santa Barbara, but wanted to stay in SB on the beach. This was the perfect everything for us - the beach, close by with trail for running, the pool and jacuzzi to 'swim and relax' in, Sambo's for a great breakfest, and easily accessible to State Street shopping as well as fish and mexican restaurants.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

A friend had suggested Los Agaves Restaurant, 600 N. Milpas, as a favorite restaurant with great food, and it was. My sister's family is from New Mexico, and they thought our meals rated amoung the best they've eaten.
