Great Location
The hotel is located just a block away from State Street, it's basically like staying on State Street, but without worrying about the noise that this busy street brings during the nights.

Great last minute find
Booked this hotel a couple of days prior to arriving in SB and was pleasantly surprised. Room was very clean and just a block south of State St., close to all the action in downtown. Would definitely stay here again

Hotel is a little on the old side but it is close to and within walking distance from the main drag and the beaches and town pier.

Nice staff only, the room was too small, Noisy and having drunk people in the hallway in all hours of night was not great. Did not get any sleep prior to flying early in the morning.

This is a loud old hotel. Charming, but noisy. I've been traveling back and forth to SB for years on business and I will not stay at it during peak times because it is far too expensive for the uncomfortable bed, hit or miss bathroom cleanliness, and the noise between hallways, rooms & parking lots when you are trying to get some sleep before meetings. What you are truly paying for is it's location on State Street and proximity to the beach.

does what it says on the tin
we stayed just one night as part of a touring holiday. we were well received at reception and found the room and facilities were accurately described on the web. a better advice on finding the hotel would have helped - especially when arriving in the evening of the adjacent street market, when roads were closed off.
