Average Hotel, Great Location
This is your typical Best Western. It is cheap, pretty clean, and very no frills. What sets this hotel apart is its location. It sits right across from the beach and wharf and down the street from the pier. It is also within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and bars. If you're looking for a no frills room in a great location in Santa Barbara this will do you.

Good location, friendly staff
good location - close to the beaches and Stearns Wharf. It's a little bit of a walk to State Street (downtown#, depending how far you want to go, but totally doable. Started out with a first floor 1 queen bed room which was clean but unimpressive - felt more like a motel than a Best Western. For the second night, we upgraded to a two queen bed room on the 3rd floor which was way better - definitely worth the extra money in my opinion. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is typical of what you'd expect at hotel chains - eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, coffee and tea. Free computer/internet use in the lobby. Parking is $3 per night per car, which is no big deal. Overall, a good hotel in a generally overpriced #but beautiful) town.

On the beach
This hotel is on the corner of the beachfront in Santa Barbara, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and the pier. It is the old fashioned motel style building, with a small swimming pool within the courtyard. My room was small, but neat and adequate.

There are lots of good seafood restaurants along the beach front and pier. The breakfast at Sambo's restaurant , 1 block away, is much better than the hotel's offerings.

Did the job
The location is great, right across the street from West Beach, and walking distance to downtown. The room was very clean...not huge, but it did the job. The pool is a little cramped but very warm. Would definitely stay here again!

Santa Barbara Fan
Great Santa Barbara visit
Stayed for 2 nights. The room was very clean. There was ample parking and even though they charged for parking it was only $3 which was fine. It was within walking distance to everything. It was definitely just as good as other more expensive hotels I have stayed at in Santa Barbara.

perfect location near the pier
Excellent location near the pier and across from the beach and boardwalk! Some rooms with an ocean view! Walk to State Street a few blocks is so easy. Fair breakfast. Pool and sundeck nice. Manager and Staff were great and I was told they are expanding the lobby soon. Excellent price for that location in Santa Barbara! FREE PARKING a plus!! The beds were hard and you sink into them...they must be so old and need to be replaced immediately. The room and bathtub could be cleaner but I would stay here again.

Very clean, comfortable rooms.Great value for the money
Very nice, clean hotel. Wonderful staff, went out of the way to help with faxes, computer and office needs. We were there for couple of days to relax, but needed to deal with contracts and the staff went out of the way to help. The rooms were surprisingly spotless. Bedding very comfortable. For the money-great deal. Convenient location, close to transportation and walking distance to the wharf and downtown.

Very reasonalble for a location right across from the marina. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We had a nice relaxing stay.

Good Weather
Good for a stay close to the beach. Went for a good run along the beach. The room shave all you need, the pool is a bit small and surrounded by the building so mostly in the shade. But on the other hand you're one minute from the beach.
