Motel 6 San Jose Convention Center

I drove last minute from LA for the Stones, and found this NEWLY RENOVATED property walking distance from the HP Pavilion. The room had HARDWOOD floors and REAL CERAMIC TILE in the bathroom. The bed and furnishings were ultra-modern. I WAS SHOCKED AT THE FANTASTIC QUALITY.

We stayed in your hotel for two day during business trip. Clean rooms, friendly stuff, convenient location. Next week I am having another business trip, so I will return to this hotel for sure.

Very good, clean and excellent location. Restaurants were close by too.

The hotel is probably the closest to the downtown out of the cheap versions, and for this reason it is a good choice.

I wanted to stay here because it was close to a destination I wanted to visit and the train station. I was not impressed - it had an odor, the one hbo channel didn't come in. I won't stay here again. I thought it was outdated and tub needed a severe cleaning.

Made the reservations through Orbitz, as I always do, on Thursday October 27th, for Sat 29th through Sunday 30th. When we arrived the front desk attendant (very rude woman, not even a "welcome to...") told me straight out after giving her my name that "I wasn't on the computer". I asked her to check and she said "I don't have to check again, your name is not on the reservations list". After I showed her my phone showing the Orbitz's confirmation and itinerary and it clearly showed 29th - 30th she changed her tune. She said that she did find my reservation but it was made for the 30th through the 31st. I said that t was an error on their par to which she replied "Orbitz ALWAYS send us the wrong dates on the reservations". To which I suggested we stopped playing the blaming game and that if we could just get a room to which she replied, without blinking, "We're full, we don't have any available rooms". Tired as my girlfriend and I were, we decided to just move on and get another hotel which accomodated us right away. Having traveled 7 hours by car, you can understand we were ready to get some rest and relaxation. I can understand they made a mistake but to blame Orbitz? Come on. I called Orbitz later that afternoon and successfully cancelled the reservations through a very friendly and apologetic agent. Amenities,

Front desk staff was pleasant, room was spacious and clean. Interesting bookstore across the street and several eateries and coffee within walking distance.

the room was comfortable, pillows could have been better, towels adequate. Air conditioner worked great.

For the price and location it was a good deal. I would probably stay there again. We took the subway from the airport but got off too early and had to walk a long way. Subway is approx 2 blocks away, for less than 3 dollars you can get there from O'Hare airport.

My friends and I went to a convention. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The price was right and the area was fine. Nearby is a Chipotle and a Quiznos. Also, Dominoes is a call away. It was very close to the train station (10 minute walk).
