Hyatt Place San Jose

My stay in the hotel was quite pleasant. The staff was cooperative from the start. Our request for a fridge and a microwave was met without delay. The room was comfortable and the housekeeping service was very cooperative and cleaned the room as requested. I would recommend this place to my friends.

We chose this hotel as this was close to the SJSU where we had come to formalize our ward's entry into graduate school. It was also next to the light rail station which we could have used. We were impressed by the hospitality of the front desk. They were kind enough to extend our check out time by an hour which suited our schedule perfectly. The housekeeping staff on the floor were also very cooperative. They did not hesitate to replenish the coffee packets when we ran out of them. The complementary internet connection next to the lobby area came in very handy. The one drawback that we thought would enhance the services would be to introduce a small refrigerator in the room like in many hotels of the same standard. The refrigerated stand in the lobby is a good idea, but every time one needs to have a soft drink he or she has to go down to the lobby.

I like the personnel's friendly but professional way of dealing with clients. We checked-in late so I advised the hotel about cheking in late and both times that I called the personel at the end of the line is very understanding and professional and made me feel that it's okay. there was only 3 bath towels in the room and when I requested, they delivered the towel fast, even when they were busy at that time. When I requested for some information, the personel at the front desk was very informative and knowledgeable and very detailed on the direction but not making me feel "stu..."

Staff didn't seem to care about my questions about the area. When asking about restaurants and local attractions I was given a half hearted answer of "ill give you a map". Which he forgot to give me. The room was tiny, there were no amenities worth mentioning. Everything besides the bed looked cheap. The parking is only $1 cheaper for hotel guests than the regular price for public. I have seriously stayed in nicer red roof inns.

BEST LOCATION IN TOWN...CLEAN MODERN ROOMS AND GREAT STAFF...

Generally it was good. The check in was quick, the room was nice, but... the room faced the transit train and was noisy. And we had to pay for parking, which was not stated in the room description.

The hotel is great. The staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was bad was the elevators took really long and the hotel is only 9 floors. One times we waited about 10 minutes! Other than that, it was great!

We were there for Valentine's Day. The room was very nice and comfortable.

Hotel is nicely decorated in a contemporary theme. Great location downtown close to Cesar de Chavez Park (this is where most of the city's major outdoor events take place), convention center, Center for the Performing Arts, the Tech Museum, etc.. The only surprise was the parking fee that was unexpected. [...] This makes a difference when making a decision on a hotel based on price.

Everything was good the staff was nice, but the quality of service needed to be more professional. We expected more from a 4 star hotel. If it was a 2-3 star hotel it would have met standards.
