Not bad, but could of been better

The hotel staff was nice and friendly. But they made lots of mistakes and made me have to go to the front desk way too much. I was supposed to get free breakfast each morning. They never provided it for me, I had to go back to the desk to inquire about it. Then it turned out to be a free continental instead, which it didn't state properly when I booked this reservation. I dealt with it and ended up after paying to breakfast the 1st day just eating at Starbucks with my 10 dollar credit. They took my credit card at check-in but then I get a call later. The call said they never got my credit card, I had to make another trip to the lobby after getting relaxed in my room. Then they validated my parking, but did it wrong. So I couldn't exit the gate and had to back up and park again. So I ended up having to go back into the lobby to get that fixed. They also had construction in the parking lot and never informed me of it. The reception had to fix that again. The maid service was fine, except one day they took away my bath mat and were very stingy on giving me a new bar of soap. So I had to ask reception for more. I wouldn't not recommend the hotel, I just must of had the worst luck. They were friendly and my room was comfy. I was on the executive floor which was nice. They had cookies (only 1 day though)..and fruit, snacks, soda and teas. They replenished it nicely in the day but by morning there was nothing left which was fine except on my last day there. I had to leave for airport at 5am and I couldn't grab a snack before the flight because of this. The Steakhouse in the hotel was nice and the employees in all the restaurants were really nice and were very attentive. They just need to work on training the staff before they work the front desk alone. Too many of the employees seemed not properly trained or just not ready. If I lucked out and was helped by veteran staff, 90% of my issues would of never happened.

The good, the good and the very good

We drove up from LA to spend Thanksgiving with our adult son. The beautiful huge hotel room was perfect for us to sit and talk with our son. The price was so good. Everything was clean, fresh and new looking.

Double your expenses

Stayed here before a big flight to Hawaii. Things seemed good at first. The price was right-$18/night. What?! Also, we were hoping to use the internet in our room, but could not get it to connect even after 2 calls to the front desk. So no internet access-could only get it in the common areas of the hotel. The pool was the star of the show. It was warm, not too crowded and easily accessible and you can BYOB. The hot tub was nice too. The room was big, but faced the 101-S so it was a little noisy. Also, lots of partying going on late at night (like 2am) which was quite annoying. The trip to starbucks in the morning was a failure as well. The fruit cups were not Starbucks quality and not starbucks prices-$ 5. 25 for a small fruit cup? The iced tea was not starbucks brand so I ended up exchanging it for a cup of coffee which I had to wait on for 5 minutes because the lady forgot to keep up with brewing. I work part time as a barista and that stuff can not be happening especially early in the morning.
