Fantastic Hotel

My daughter and I stayed at the Marriott Marquis while we were looking at colleges. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is perfectly situated in a great part of Union Square conveniently located by BART, bus, and cable car lines. We stayed for 3 days and never took our car out of the parking garage. (The $55.00 price tag per day for parking seemed a little steep, but it's pretty typical for city parking.) Our room was quiet, clean, modern, and the beds were WONDERFUL. We'd definitely stay there again.

The concierge staff is unbeatable. We weren't familiar with nearby restaurants (and wanted to stay within walking distance in the neighborhood) so the concierge recommended several great restaurants and provided maps, called ahead, etc. REALLY NICE service.

Awesome New Years Celebration

My friends and I arrived to celebrate the New Years. The location of the hotel was perfect, just bocks away from several New years Eve parties. The hotel room itself was just the right size for our group, 2 beds with an awesome TV set and one of the best bathrooms I had ever been in. The room service was a little pricey, but none of use used any of it anyways. This hotel will definitely be used again.

Excellent choice for downtown SF

Check-in was fast and pleasant; checkout took only a short phone call. I had a nice room, pretty much the same as the two previous times I've been there. But this time I had a corner outside room with wonderful views. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent for museums, shopping, tourism and public transportation.

But for heaven's sake, don't buy the expensive breakfast at the hotel. There are plenty of bagel shops and bakeries in the immediate area as well as a Mel's Drive-in where you can get as much or as little food as you want for modest prices.

Nice Short Visit -- Very Pleasant Staff!

Great one-day visit for professional conference held in the hotel. Wonderful staff from entry to exit - They were soooo pleasant even with hundreds of us professional conference-goers converging on them all at the same time! Clean, comfortable, and somewhat plushy accommodations. Room had lovely view! Well worth the dollars spent. Upper floor restaurant/bar was a bit pricey but quality of food and libation made it worthwhile.
