Convenience for business travelers and families in SoMa
The 39-story San Francisco Marriott Marquis caters to two very different customers: business travelers and families. On the business front, the property sits mere blocks from Moscone Convention Center and boasts 117,000 square feet of its own meeting space (more than any other hotel in town). On the family front, guests can opt for kid-friendly turndown service that includes a bedtime book. Mission Grille, the on-site restaurant, serves contemporary California cuisine. awesome view,great location
walked to at and t park,Walked 2 wicked at the orpheum,walked 2 china town.Lots of shopping and things 2 do witin walking distance.

Wonderful Hotel in the Heart of the City
Everything about the hotel impressed us. The lounges were amazing with unparalleled views. The fitness center and rooms were better than expected. We did, however, feel cheated that we had to pay $55 per day to park a rental car which we did not even use. Parking should come with the room. Minus the parking, the entire experience was exceptional.

Redwood bar surpasses all other imitators. You will be amazed by the bar, the building and the people.

Fun trip on a crowed 4th of July weekend
The city was really fun and our hotel, the Marriott Marquis, was centrally located or had great access to public transport to all of the things we wanted to do. I would definitely stay there again if the budget allows. The room was a little pricey to guarantee a view and the parking was much more expensive than I expected. A minor downside for us was no wireless internet. If this was a business trip, that would have been a bigger problem for me.

Long walk from hotel
We expected to use the street car transportation, but the lines were so long that we ended up walking most places. The buses are usually much faster, cheaper, and less crowded if you aren't looking to have the "street car experience" just for the sake of riding it. Take the bus or walk.
