San Francisco Central Travelodge

i will never stay here ever again. when you book a hotel through this site. it pays for it right then and there. so when i went and stay there.. i got charge by the hotel for the same night. and when i try to call and get my money back.. i couldnt get to someone that can help me. no one wanted to take the time and get me my money back. i left my contact info and was told that they can take up to 9 days for someone to contact me about this issue. never again will i stay here.. not worth the hassle..

i will say it is comfort to live, but the market street is very unsafe, but considering the money I paid, It should be a good choice

Ive stayed at this hotel a few times, so it's obviously not bad. It's ideal for just a basic room, where you just need a place to stay, while you're out and about around the city. It is VERY close to public transportation and that helps in making Castro, Union Square, the Wharf, or anywhere else, extremely easily accessible.

Even at a Travelodge you want a kind and calm smiling person and this guy was just that with 4 other's trying to rattle him, he just stayed calm and smooth. Room clean and without smells.

Won't hesitate to stay there again! Liked the nice central location.

I wanted to stay at a place that was centrally located. This is a perfect spot, easy walking to many different areas. But get there early. I came back from dinner on a Saturday night and they had no more parking ... for their hotel guests. I had to park on the street. Not cool.

We had the best location within walking distance to public transit, bars, restaurants and the Castro. That's the only good part of this hotel, parking fills up and you either pay to park on the street or park in the handicap spaces. Is that even legal? Also the person above us had some sort of drug or mental condition. I say that because they would literally drag furniture around the room ALL night and day. I complained to the front desk because it was loud and constant. The front desk said they knew about it and would call him. So it stopped for a few hours and then in the evening and the whole second night it was the same thing. It's obvious they really don't care about their guests, such as noise, poor cleanliness, and crummy breakfast options, which is toast, coffee and plastic wrapped sugary bear claws. I would only recommend if location is the only thing that you care about and the price was low.

With one person working at the front desk it made it impossible to ask for anything. The man was slow and not helpful at all there's some homeless around but no big deal. This place is good if you don't plan to be at a hotel for a long period of time wouldn't recommend it and the continental breakfast is nothing special could have a little bit more of a selection. I wasn't impressed at all will never stay here again.

The room was dark, dingy, and smelled of mold and stale cigarettes, even though it was presented as non-smoking. Our door was back in a dark corner of the layout, and questionable characters seemed to conduct "business" outside our door throughout the night and early morning hours. I felt unsafe, particularly when the people were conversing in angry shouts. The breakfast was not even passable for the worst establishment. This experience ruined our trip to San Francisco, and cost us a LOT of money. Very disappointing!!

Ok hotel...great location...many homeless people around the area..loud at night
