Location is the Value in this Hotel

Check In is a royal pain in the rear. It is also not until 4:00. Rooms are average, clean enough, Parking is an extra $50.00. No real reason to stay here unless you are going tol hang out a LOT on The Emberadero, Pier.

Mother/daughter weekend

It was our first visit to San Francisco and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The hotel staff was wonderful and very helpful and the room was so nice and we had a beautiful view of Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz! I would definitely stay here again; it was right in the heart of the piers and had easy access to different modes of transportation.

Location

If you wish to stay in SF then this is so well located, right on Fishermans Wharf and only a 1/2 hour walk to the city centre and the likes of China Town. Room was very comfortable and had a balcony too.

Great Weekend get away

The hotel was a perfect location for 1st time visitor with no car. perfect location to get involved in everything the city has to offer. The staff was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. the rooms were very neat and clean. The 2 things I would have liked different was the bed and the view. For me the comfort of the bed was horrible. It was a sleep number bed but I was never able to get comfortable. Although I wasn't in my room much, after hiking the hills of San Fran, a good nights rest would have been good. Everything else about the hotel, location and the staff was GREAT.

Horrible beds

Overall the Radisson wasn't too bad, it felt like an older hotel, it was clean but the air conditioning units on the balconies leaked water and it puddled real bad on our patio and the sleep number beds were horrible, had two in our room and one went flat overnight and the other got harder, had someone from the staff look at them and they said you have to just hold the button down harder.... The sleep number is was on also was horribly uneven, the left side of the bed sloped off to the left side real bad making it very tough to sleep on. The beds were the worst thing about this hotel though, the location is very nice but due to the beds next time at the wharf we will be staying somewhere else.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Don't get the Muni day passes unless you are going to be on a lot of different trains, the day pass is $15 per pass but to pay for each ride it's $2 and that gets you on the trolley for a few hours. I wish I had done the math earlier, probably only would have spent $6 per day instead of the $15 if I had.

fantastic front desk personnel

We have stayed at many hotels throughout our travels and the whole staff at the Radisson was the most pleasant and helpful that we have met. We will book there next year on our yearly trip to San Francisco.

night out

Our stay was average. The only complaint i have is the elevators. My husband and I got stuck on the 2nd floor. When we used the emergency phine the front desk clerk made it seem as if this happens often. It was a bit inconvenient to have to go thru the main lobby because the other entrances get locked after hours even though you need your room card to get in. I dont think i will stay at this location again.

the parking is not complimentary

The rooms had typical comforts (duvets, plenty of pillows, large towels, curved shower curtains, robes) and modern style furniture. My room was very clean. Parking is not complimentary though at the time I booked the room the description noted that it was. The location was convenient to Fisherman's Wharf which seemed it could serve as a starting point for any tourist destinations in San Francisco. There was not coffee or any such extras in the lobby.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Bakeries and restaurants just around the corner from the hotel offer an array of meal options. The Ferry Building is about a twenty minute walk and serves as another choice for meal options and food shopping.
