cozy

The staff was friendly. The room was clean and cozy. But there was construction going on next door that wasn't pleasant early in the morning. I will definitely be staying here again.

Great stay for a childless couple!

Small room shoved back in the corner, excellent location right on Lombard street between fisherman's wharf and the bridge! Super comfortable bed and pillows, no tub but good size shower. Not much for amenities but since we planned on not being in the room it was perfect!

Very friendly staff

Simple rooms but totally sufficient. The area is wonderful, just walk to the best bars and restaurants. And the included parking makes this a deal. Some places charge 40$ for parking one night.

Good value for the money

If your are a lite sleeper avoid this place: lots of street noise all nite long. Good location and about 2 miles to Fishermans Warf but very close to the Presido and some very good restauranrs on both Lombard and Chestnut streets(hip, trendy). Skip the breakfast: poor selection and lousy coffee.

Good for business and pleasure

I booked this room for friends with a small baby and they were very pleased with the room, service and closeness to shops, restaurants and public transportation. The lovely weather this past weekend was a big plus also!!

For the price it can't be beat!

I really liked our 4 night stay here. The hotel is right on Lombard St., so my girlfriend and I were walking distance from everything that we wanted to do and see. The parking is free and we never had trouble getting a spot in their lot, which is a plus especially in San Francisco. We left our car there and just walked to most places. Golden Gate is close, the old Exploratorium is literally right down the street, and fisherman’s wharf is about a mile. We stayed in their biggest room for around 100 dollars a night. Seriously, you cannot beat that price! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating although I did not have to consult with them on any particular occasion. The heater and A/C worked really well! The mattress was quite comfy and the room itself was super clean. We needed to do a little studying on our down time, fortunately the WIFI worked really well and there was a desk for us to do our studies on. Rooms had a nice little LCD with a variety of cable channels. The rooms do not smell like smoke either, which is excellent! We never had any issues with the room and were very satisfied. The free breakfast is super basic, but filling enough to last you until lunch it consisted of an English muffin, toast, an assortment of beverages, and oatmeal. I read reviews of people complaining about the noise from the 101 (Lombard St.), but this was not a problem for us. We had a room in the front and I honestly like a little bit of noise when I sleep. If I go to San Francisco again this hotel would definitely be first on my list.
