Industrial chic and unique hotel off Union Square
Hotel Diva is a unique, ultramodern hotel designed by local architect Olle Lundberg, who specializes in metalwork. Like something from a futuristic or science fiction film, Hotel Diva makes a dramatic style statement, featuring Lundberg's trademark sculptured metal headboards and bold color schemes of slate gray and silver with a striking blue carpet, symbolizing a 1930s ocean liner, running throughout. In contrast to the industrial chic, which won Hotel Diva a Best Hotel Design award from Interiors magazine, the service is warm and attentive.
3 Reasons To Stay:
- Avant-garde hotel designed by renowned architect
- Located near all amenities of Union Square
- Pet- and wallet-friendly hotel
Hotel Diva Rooms
The outstanding, modern style of Hotel Diva is present throughout its 115 guest rooms, which range from deluxe king or queen rooms to deluxe two doubles. Not for the faint-hearted, the cool, monochromatic rooms feature the architect's signature steel headboards, metallic touches, and a playful, pop art touch. Children love the little divas suite, which is equipped for a family of four and boasts a riot of primary colors in a fun, almost cartoonish setting. The hotel is not just about the fun factor, though, as it takes the needs of guests seriously, and they are well provided for with iPod docking stations, flat-screen televisions and complimentary wireless Internet. Rooms also include comfortable beds, bathrobes and coffee-making facilities. The hotel also caters for the business traveler, with four designer business lounges available for use, and there is complimentary use of a town car to whisk guests to the nearby Financial District. Eating on site is a pleasure at Colibri, which offers fresh and tasty Mexican cuisine, plus a selection of premium tequilas, and the Hotel Diva includes a Starbucks with its usual good selection of coffees, pastries and muffins.

Great choice if one wants to base out of the city
Location was fantastic, loved the design of the hotel, room was small but very comfortable. Toiletries were good quality. I had a room on the 2nd floor and the gym was just a stone's throw away. Staff was helpful as well. All in all, my choice if I were to stay in the city again. Definitely.

Great boutique hotel
We truly enjoyed our stay and you should try it yourself. But we learend a few things that would help make your stay better. If you are wanting the large suite, forget it. This is a beautifully appointed, beautiful but very small. If you want a room to sleep so you can enjoy the city, this is it. It is located 2 blocks from Union Square, a great part of the city. The staff are some of the most accommodating that I have experienced anywhere. Ask for an inside room. We were on the 7th floor above the alley. We were amazed at the mount of noise that came up to our room at 3am ! You are close to a number of great restuarants, the trolley picks up at Union Square. Several other activities begin near this location. The price is good, the small room is beautiful and the staff bend over backwards to assist you. So request an inside room, get up in the morning, get your shower and hit the city!

Fun honeymoon
My husband and I spent some time in big sur before heading to San Fran and this hotel was great. The cute little boutique hotel was located close to so many things and great restaurants. The offered valet parking for $45/day with unlimited in an outs. This was nice because we had a car and could use it without worrying about parking rates. The bed was big and comfy and had tons of pillows and an extra comforter in the room so I didn't even have to ask. The workout facility was small but useful. There were cute meeting rooms/ lounges on each floor and it was connected to a Starbucks and a Mexican restaurant for convenience. We were on the backside- no view but I wasn't expecting one at all. We overlooked the air conditioners and it made the floor/bed shake a little but not so much that it made a difference. I would definitely stay here again!

great, stylish hotel
Staff was as friendly as could be; design really exceeds what often passes for chic/boutique. Nice lounges on several floors; tea available all day, sake in the evening. Very close to Union Square and transportation hub. Neighborhood in the opposite direction can get sketchy, so take care.

Great hotel but...
Loved this hotel. Great location, modern decor, Starbucks right there. And the staff tried to be helpful. But I shouldn't have to stand in the rain for 1/2 hour for them to valetmy car. And I seemed to be one of the lucky ones - overheard people trying to pick up their cars complaining they had been waiting for over an hour. Would love to use this hotel for future trips but the parking makes for a potential nightmare.
