Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SAN FRANCISCO FISHERMANS WHARF

WHILE THIS HOTEL IS PROBABLY PAR FOR THE COURSE IN RELATION TO OTHER HOTELS IN THE AREA, I WAS SLIGHTLY DISAPPOINTED..IT STARTED OUT WHEN I PULLED UP TO THE HOTEL AND WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD COST ME $45 PER NIGHT TO GARAGE MY CAR HERE!! AT THAT POINT I DID NOT HAVE MUCH CHOICE....I THINK THIS SHOULD BE DISCLOSED AT BOOKING AND AVAILABLE TO PAY WHEN BOOKING THE STAY...NOT A NICE SURPRISE WHEN CHECKING IN...ALSO, HOTEL WAS ONE OF SIX THAT I BOOKED ON THIS TRIP AND THE ROOM WAS BY FAR THE SMALLEST AND LEAST EQUIPPED EVEN WHEN COMPARED TO OTHER HOLIDAY IN EXPRESS HOTELS ON BY TRIP

We were very disappointed with what we got comparing to the photos we saw in the Hotel Ad. This "Mini Suite" is small like a regular small room! Carpet is old and dirty with lots of stains! Beds are small & uncomfortable! Bathroom ceiling has many damaged spots from leaking above! Parking is too expensive for this hotel! $45.00! Instant coffee in the room is tasteless! Bathroom supplies are too small & very hard to squeeze the shampoo or conditioning out! Continental breakfast with scramble eggs tasted like egg powder! Not worth to get up early for breakfast! Price is too high for all these disappointment ! Sorry! We won't comeback to this Hotel!

The wait line to check into the hotel took too long! It definitely was not "express." Then the staff member who checked us in made a slur about Americans. When I called the customer service line to complain, I was told the manager would call me back. Well, I've been back 2 days from the trip and no phone call. Will definitely never stay there.

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn & Express from Feb.15th - 19th. We arrived late (after midnight) on Feb. 15th. Our room was ready without a problem. The room itself was very comfortable. The king size bed made us feel like we were sleeping in different zip codes. (By the way, that can be a good thing.) The room as well as the bathroom were both very clean. No complaints. The continental breakfast was very good. If anyone complains, they are ridiculous! There is more than enough for even picky eaters. The hotel staff was fantastic. They gave great suggestions and advice on how to get around the city. The location of the hotel couldn't be beat either. My only possible complaint was the lack of wi-fi in the room. This was probably a good thing as that I didn't waste too much time online. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco.

The Holiday Inn is as you expect a standard hotel. Nicer than a no-frills but nothing extraordinary in terms of offerings or rooms. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The valets were knowledgable of the area and provided good directions. The maid staff were very thorough and flexible in our schedule. The room was clean with no issues at all. The only downside was the free breakfast. It was only from 6:30 to 9:30 even on Sunday. Since we were on vacation we would have appreciated a bit more time to sleep in and get ready. The food was well prepared but of low variety. The only negative in the stay. The location is great and pairing with a flight it was more reasonable.

Hotel lobby was nice and modern. Rooms are old kept up, but old. Mattress seemed hard and they still have tube televisions (small) . The value of the room is good. The hotel is nothing special, the staff is okay and it is $45 to park your car per night!! The continental breakfast in the morning is crowded but great!!

This hotel was just 2 blocks from the wharf with shopping and food. I love the convenience of where it was located. The pillows were a little uncomfortable but overall we loved it. It was quiet and peaceful at night as well! We will be back!

The hotel was convenient to the Embarcaderro's ferries and to the trollies. The room was very pleasant. The fact that breakfast was included was a positive; however, it was packed and there was mayhem. There were a lot of European and Australian tourists in town at the time and so many kids at the hotel - although, the noise level was low - considering. The hotel is not that great at getting taxis for you and there are none waiting outside. But, if you have an iphone or an android you can resolved that issue by downloading the Free --- Taxi Magic App. It is a fantastic way to get a taxi when and where you need one.

Hotel facilities were good. No wifi at rooms. Breakfast average. Rooms and stafff great..

Nice room, good breakfast, friendly staff, great location to the wharf. Will stay there again!
