Beresford Hotel

A very pleasant and inexpensive hotel located in the heart of San Francisco. It is easy to get to from the Powell St. BART stop. A very good buy.

no internet in the room, room space is small, it's not like a hotel, but like an inn. I would not stay there again.

A pathetic experience. They boast about free airport shuttle. But it is not free at all. No internet at room. Even the internet at the lobby is very slow. Breakfast is very ordinary. Overall, it is a nightmare with all false promises. I will never recommend anyone.

The room was a good size, within walking distance to lots of places, nice water pressure for the shower. heater doesn't work, and the maid ignored the "Please Do Not Disturb" sign.

I liked the hotel a lot but I was surprised that I was charged for the hotel shuttle. I thought that if a hotel says they have a shuttle that it was included in the price. The hotel has flavor. The red carpets and yellow walls make it beautiful. The room and the bathroom were a bit small and cramped but it didn't bother me. I would not have wanted to share the room with a second person. It was very hot the first night there. I opened the window and it cooled off. The next night was colder but still comfortable. There was not a way to adjust the heat in the room. Overall I was happy and I would stay there again if I return to San Fran.

As a former San Franciscan, I discovered the Beresford about 15 years ago and always stay there when I am in town. Perfect downtown location, clean rooms with a San Francisco feel. Nice staff. Quiet. And the price is unbeatable.

descent hotel with perfect location. It is close to the downtown, China Town and most of the attractiona like Wharf, Golden Gate or park are in close distance. The rooms are small and descent condition. Wifi only available on the first floor, no cabl econnection in the rooms. Breakfast is minimal, some bakery stuff, but it is nice. The value for the price is excellent, it is a cheap hotel with descent service and perfect location. Perfect for city visit for couple of days.

The hotel was pretty good - much better than I expected considering how much I payed for a room in a very central location. I've stayed at hotels in what I would say is the same category as this one and I was pretty impressed by how nice this one was. The room was surprisingly big, the bathroom a little crammed but fairly new and everything was clean. The breakfast was very limited but it's free, so no reason to complain. It was great that you can just quickly grab a bite, or sip on some coffee before heading out and maybe getting some better breakfast somewhere else (if you are a breakfast person). I would recommend this place if you are looking for an affordable but nice place to stay.

This was a great value for staying in San Francisco. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was centrally located near Union Square and tons of restaurants, shopping, sight-seeing, entertainment venues within walking distance. The hotel had a happy hour that was noisy for my friends whose rooms were directly above it, but I was on the 5th floor and did not have a problem. The bar had a steady stream of patrons making it a fun place to hang out for a night-cap. Wireless is only available in the lobby & business center area, which can be problematic for finding a place to sit or finding outlets for your laptop or mobile device. With the price was competitive with other nearby hotels. I will be a returning guest

it's in a great location in downtown where close to all shopping areas and restaurants. the room space is a little bit too small that could only fit one person's luggage. no wi-fi service except 1st fl which is very disappointing. but i don't mind coming back again since the price is quite reasonable in such a convenient location.
