Family getaway

I may say, it was okey. Nothing really special. Our room was clean. We had a restful night. I don't like the parking fee of $26.00. Next time, I may look around for other hotels that doesn't charge for parking.

Disappointed

The ac in the room was horrible! It took forever for the room to get cool. Then when I'm checking in, they never told me there was going to be a deposit of $100 to my card.

Nice Yet Underwhelmed

Staying in a boutique hotel is like shopping at Forever 21. It's trendy yet something's always a little off. The Bristol is comfy, clean and the service is not bad. They gave us a late checkout of 1p which I appreciated. It's blocks from the heart of Gaslamp but wouldn't suggest walking alone at night. The area was a bit sketchy. The bathroom is very small with no special thrills. I loved how they provided robes and slippers. For the price, I expected it to be a little nicer but it did its job. All in all, it's great for young people looking to enjoy the nightlife and on a budget.

Disappointing

While this boutique hotel seemed charming, my stay was a disaster. I originally booked for four nights. The first night the couple in the next room were screaming and slamming doors. Other room doors were opening and closing until about 4 am. There was also quite a bit of noise from the street. I checked out the next day not wanting to take a chance of having the same experience.

Spring Break

I stayed at this hotel with two of my friends for spring break for a week. The hotel was very clean and I loved the layout when you first walk in. The staff was all super friendly and welcoming. They even let us check our bags after we checked out due to a super late flight. The rooms were clean and well kept. The location was great as well, within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. It was a great place to stay for walking around gaslamp during the day or going out at night. I throughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend staying here.

Baseball getaway

Me and my buddy went to SD to see a couple baseball games. Although you could walk to the park from this hotel, I believe it was a $5 cab ride for the same distance. This hotel was also within walking distance of the Gas lamp district. The staff and everything within the hotel was nice and above average. Only complaint, and it's kind of a weak one, would be the amount of bums/transients in the area outside the hotel. They are harmless, but its not always the prettiest sight to see them passed out lying in a urine or vomit puddle within a couple hundred feet of the hotel. Biggest reason this probably occurs is because of the county courthouse and jail that is located across the street. Overall, I would stay here again.
