overpriced for the service
It was an average hotel. Cleaning the room on the after first night was done very late. On check day they were there very early to get you out. I had some large charges made to my card. I have to wait several days before before it gets removed.

Weekend stay
I visited a friend in Del Mar and needed a room for four of us, one night. The hotel is well kept, clean. The room is comfortable as other Marriott I'd expect. Please note that the parking is $20 per night.

Did not provide correct accomodation
I made a reservation for 4 guests 2 months in advance. When I got to the Marriott (Excellent hotel), I was told that Marriott does not reserve rooms with double beds for 3rd party reservations. I ended up with a king bed and I had to ask for a roll-away bed. If you go through 3rd party or other internet travel companies, make sure you call the hotel to demand the correct room at least one month in advance although a room with double beds is never guaranteed. Next time I will go through Marriott.com and pay the extra 20 dollars a night to avoid the hassle when I travel. Del Mar is a great place to stay even so, when you visit Southern Cal.

Great for business, but not family.
This is not a hotel for a family to stay at. The majority (all) of the people staying here were on a business trip. There were no clean towels at the pool. It took two trips to the lobby before towels finally arrived. We also ordered room service and received 3 phone calls afterwards informing us that they did not have what was on the menu.

Great location and very accommodating
The location was very convienent to the freeway, downtown Del Mar. The hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. The bar was hopping and the restaurant was very good.

Son and Dad "Special" Trip

Right place right price
The service was great! Our neighbors last night were noisy, but that wasn't the hotel's fault. When I called to ask them to come up and deal with the problem they did it right away! Right price, right place. We were right in the middle of where we were heading.

FANTASTIC STAY
WE STAYED FRO TWO NIGHTS THE ROOM WAS SPOTLESS, STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. OUR KIDS ARE 4 AND 6 AND THEY LOVED THE PLASMA TV WITH DIRECT ON DEMAND TV. THEY ALSO LOVED THE POOL AND SPA WITH THE FIRE PITS BURNING ALONSIDE THE CABANAS. WE LOVED THE OUTDOOR LOUNGE WHERE WE COULD TAKE IN THE SUN IN THE DAY AND ENJOY THE FIRE BY NIGHT WHILE SIPPING ON A COCKTAIL.
