San Diego Trip

Hotel elevator broke down and we had to take stairs. Terrible experience for the week. It was nice being next to Brian's 24, which is a great breakfast place. However, the hotel rooms were so small that the mice were hunchbacks...

Attending a conference at the Convention Center

This is a "vintage" ( old) hotel with a vintage elevator that would be nice for a museum, but getting luggage through the elevator doors was not easy. The room was very small with just enough space for the bed, a desk, and a chair. The chair's upholstery was stained. What looked to be a window was just an opening in front of a brick wall. The other window was no real window either, it held the AC within a thin plastic sheet. Behind that montage was an inner courtyard with machine noise from below around the clock. Ear plugs are a must if you need a quiet place to sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for attending a conference at the Convention Center. You can get your car parked via valet service this part of town is very busy and crowded and parking spaces are hard to find.

Business Trip

Great staff...very small room. Seemed clean enough. It was a little loud, especially on Friday and Saturday night, but it's in the middle of a party zone...they provide ear plugs however! I just turned the AC on. Appreciated the free shuttle to the airport!

New years trip

My fiancé and friends all stayed here. Our room for 2 was a bit small and a little cramped but we love the location of the hotel, the 24 hour restaurant/bar next door and the roof top patio. This is our go-to hotel when staying in the Gas lamp area of San Diego.

Awesome trip

My boyfriend and I wanted to runaway for a weekend and decided to stay at the ramada . we both loved it. My boyfriend loved how it was right in the middle of all the fun we didn't have to drive any where. The room was a little small but we are use to living in a studio so it wasn't too bad for us. I would recommend you stay here if you want something affordable with nice helpful staff and a great location. Only downside is the parking.

Great Location

I work in a job that is all about customer service so when I travel I am particularly critical of the places I stay and the service I receive. I know that everyone has a bad day, been there, but while you don't always have control over your circumstances, you do have control over quality of your work. The hotel was charming and I really like having a restaurant on site, making eating options available 24 hours a day. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful the staff was and the hotels over all proximity to restaurants and shops was great! The room was cozy and clean and the cleaning staff actually waiting until a reasonable hour before they started knocking at your door, usually around 10:00-10:30 am (other places I have stayed they have started knocking as early as 8:30am and that's just ridiculous!). I would stay again!
