In the heart of beautiful Mission Bay lies the Paradise Point Resort and Spa San Diego. Set within a spacious 44-acre island, abundant palm trees and a cascading fountain welcome travelers to this private paradise. The hotel, with its tropical gardens, tranquil lagoon and luxurious setting, is right on the beach and close to all the San Diego attractions. You can relax in one of the five swimming pools, gaze out over the marina, and enjoy tranquility in the spa. The well-appointed, bungalow-style rooms reflect the ambiance of Bali, complete with batik-like bed coverings. Lagoon, garden and bay views, and lush garden surroundings, invite you to relax amid a tropical-inspired atmosphere, fruity cocktail in hand.

Highlights

You will be on the beach as well as next to the fun of the exciting SeaWorld amusement park. Baja cuisine is the theme of the Tropics Cantina, located right at the Main Pool, and for everyone in the family, the resort offers the Caveman Pizza Company, set in a historic bunker-cave. Add to this, a fitness center and kids' camp.

Great location but service not good

The location was great in middle of everything. There are hidden fees once you check in. Our room keys didn't work. We had to get them to reset the room keys 3 times. The housekeeping was not that great, we had to call front desk everyday while during our stay. You have to pay for parking even if you are staying there. Don't think we will stay again.

A Much Needed Break

My husband and I are both school teachers so this was the perfect place for us to sit and relax for a week. The staff around the pool were tremendous and always served us with a smile and always had great information to share about the local area. The front desk staff upon arrival were very nice and helpful. We did end up walking the entire resort and both agreed that the area of our villa (215) was one of the nicest areas in the resort. The restaurants are nice and met all of our dining needs. We will be back!!!

Time-saving tip: In Hotel

If leaving on an early flight, have the front desk call ahead (the day prior) to set up a cab pick-up for you. If there is still construction at the airport terminal give yourself at least an hour and a half before your departure time to arrive at the terminal.

beautiful place, not good service

the location is perfect, nice and peaceful place to stay. BUT night staffs(front desk/phone) are not as good as morning staffs. they don't know how to talk to their guest politely. so if you have any question, just go front desk or call in the morning or during the day time. morning staffs are so much nicer than night staffs.

Beautiful Grounds

This resort was great. The grounds are beautiful. The amenities were great. The restaurants had many options. A person wouldn't even have to leave the property to enjoy themselves.

a getaway

Everything at this place was AWESOME from the location, grounds, pools and places to eat. We stayed for 4 days and the only issue we had was one time at the Baleen from the hostess named Ashley. She was pretty rude when we were asking about sitting by the windows. She stated "we might get a large party in that would like to sit there!" Made my husband and I feel as if we were not good enought being just the 2 of us. We were there celebrating our 15 year wedding anniversary. Other then that perfect place for couples young and old with or without children.

nice grounds for sure

for the size of our bungalow, there was a lot of cabinet space in the kitchen....with NOTHING in them. no utinsils or plates or dishrags or anything. too much space given to a kitchen with only a microwave and a mini fridge. we had the worst time trying to get the sliding bathroom doors (2 of them) to shut or open. but the food was good, views were awesome, and was generally a really nice place, aside from the things mentioned above.
