Good place if you want to visit the Gaslamp
Everything is just a few blocks away: hotels, bars, and plenty of shopping. The hotel itself has a nice steak restaurant that is great for dinner. Breakfast and lunch menu is just sub par. The hotel is connected to Petco (San Diego Padres baseball team) and provides some unique views into the stadium,

Will stay again
Parking: 35 dollars. It is from check in to check out but because I was watching a Padres game on day of check out, they allowed me to stay until after game without charging me again. This was really cool. Overall, the staff gets 5 stars, from check in, valet, room service to the poolside staff. The best thing about this was the location. I went to a padres game without ever leaving the building, went to dinner, went to a club both which were walking distance. The room seemed kind of small, but it felt clean. I guess I expected to be wowed a little more but it is just ordinary room with a good quality bed. The view was great, to the bay. I couldn't get a balcony room. There was no key in the room for the minibar so I had to order one. Also, our radio speakers were bad so we ordered a new radio and they brought it up quickly. A girl in our party said that it could use another outlet by the hall for hair drying by the mirror. IDK! Good overall.

Perfect for downtown experience
this hotel was in a great location for us because we needed to be downtown by J street to attend an art show for John Guiney - a first show for him. The hotel was in walking distance - plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area also. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. The 6th flr. pool was really nice too. The only thing missing is shuttle service to local attractions

The Perfect Place to Vacation
I have stayed at many hotels on vacations, but I was completely in love with the Omni. The decor is beautiful. The rooms are spacious, and the staff goes out of the way to make you feel welcome and comfotable. It was paradise. By the time we went to breakfast and returned, our room was cleaned. The food was sumptuous. We always ate breakfast there. The views were magnificant of the harbor and the pool. It was exciting having access to Petco Park. I attended two Padres games! The hotel is situated near the entrance to the Historic Gaslamp District.

Fabulous Summer Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Omni Hotel. The hotel was easy to find, in close proximity to the airport and Gaslamp Quarters. From the moment we arrived, every staff member from the valet to the concierge were friendly, helpful and courteous. A big special thanks to Erica from in-room dining for going the extra mile and making us feel so welcome. We had a lovely view from the 21st floor and loved returning back to the hotel after a busy day of sightseeing to the lovely turndown service.

Don't do the 35 dollar a night valet. They park your car in the public parking garage across the street and you can use it yourself for only 10 bucks a night. Plus you can access your car whenever you want!
