Rude staff
They made us fix a broken sink ourselves. The TV, fridge and microwave stopped working. It took them over 24 hours to fix the problems. Whenever we needed something the staff was rude and made sarcastic jokes about us TO OUR FACES!!! Horrible hotel!

We needed a change of sheets the first night because they were dirty! There was some sort of gross stain on the ceiling! I was told when I checked in that they were pretty full and made me feel like they gave us a room that wasn't the greatest. The staff were slow to respond to the request of new sheets, I had to call two times. The breakfast was decent. There is really no privacy for the pool area, people worked in the area right behind it. No security, we had a random dude knock at our door at 4 am and scared us. Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone, the commercials do not represent this hotel.

Perfect location
Close to our son's apartment, beaches, Sea World, Olde Town and shopping. The hot tub and pool were great and the breakfast was average, they did run out of things by our third day. Rooms were very comfortable, could use more blankets on the beds.

Very accommodating
Not long after we arrived in our room the front desk called asking us if we needed anything...we asked for more towels and soap and they brought it to us very promptly. The beds are extremely comfortable....quite a change from most hotels. It's located in a good area to get access to places all over town. The continental breakfast was more then generous, including waffles and also eggs? would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Room had roaches - yuk!
I've stayed here before and have never experienced issues, although this time I found a few live roaches in my room. Do not think I will stay here again

Wow..Super Surprised!
Had a photoshoot in San Diego and decided to find a hotel room so I didn't have to drive from LA to SD twice in a day. I was especially looking for a place I could bring my dog. NO EXTRA FEE for my little guy. That was cool. I was expecting the Travel lodge kind of amenities but, was quickly blown away when I saw that I was booked into a suite. A great mini apt. lol. The gym was downstairs next to the laundry room and the breakfast room. Parking was safe and convenient.

I found it helpful to plan out any specialty eating like a particular cuisine, in advance. It helps when you are in a new place. It's helps to feel a bit in control when you know where your going!

The stay was "ok". But we had our car broken into (car was in the garage, first floor) and the hotel advised they weren't responsible. Needless to say, it wasn't that much of an enjoyable vacation.

OK but....
Not the Ritz-Calton, but OK. One of the management staff was rather rude when asked when the room was to be cleaned. Also the towels need some softener when they are washed = rough as sandpaper!
