Just what we needed
Location was great for attending Qualcom stadium for a college game. Ate at both restaurants and was very good. Music in bar both Friday and Saturday nights. could get hot water, coffee and cold good water in lobby, free WiFi all at reasonable price.

Weekend get away
My family and I went on a weekend vacation, since this hotel was labeled family friendly I choose it. The staff was great, pool was close and clean, the room needed renovation. It smelled like urine and the carpet was really dirty. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom shower faucet fell off in my hand and there was mold on the tile.

a good hotel when you have got a car
if you haven't got a car, you should never make a reservation for this hotel: there is no pavement alone the road where the hotel stand on. it's near to the old town and have easy accesses to the northern beach and the downtown. there is no free breakfast in the hotel!

Pick this one
It was better then expected. We had stayed in this area prior and was not elated with our previous Hotel. Although this one was around for a while they had made improvements and were still in that process. Family owned with (2) Rest. and a nice pool and located right off major highway. Staff always did good job with room, and Rest. help were quite pleasant with good home cooked Breakfast. Se will for sure use them again.

nightmare!
When I got to room it looked very dated. Can deal with it if I can rest but I didnt get that either. Room was next door to laundry room. I could hear washing machines all night and morn.I believe all their plumbing ran through the wall where our beds headboard was. I could hear every flush right in my ears.The room had no window, only to back of room looking out into a 6ft. wall of dirt. the shower tub was plugged up so we where showering in our dirty water. So I was 4th so you can imagine what the water up to our ankles looked like.

Okay for the price.
The staff were very helpful. Easy access to the expressway. Bathroom very small; poor water pressure in shower. Overall not bad for the price.

Kings Inn San Diego
I read the review of previous guest who booked on-line and it was accurate... The Inn staff was extremely helpful and housekeeping Ms. Suma did an excellent job of tidying up my room. Maintenance was also excellent, as I had my door open and Maintenance Supervisor Neil asked if everything was okay...I mentioned the Air Conditioner wasn't cooling and he immediately remedied the problem. I like what he said as I complimented him, he stated, “that it was important for guest to enjoy their stay and when guest enjoy their stay they return. He will definitely see me again, as I truly enjoyed staying at the King's Inn. The pool was fantastic as I spent most of my time poolside it was a great way to cool down or just hang out reading a book in a very pleasant atmosphere. The Inn is located in a chaparral and the afternoon breezes are wonderful. My overall experience was wonderful and I look forward to returning to the Kings Inn later this summer.

There are many restaurants near the University of California San Diego...Great food and even greater prices. I ate Vietnamese Pho $5.30 for a regular bowl that was the size of a large. The Fashion Mall just across the highway has a food court.
