Humphreys Half Moon Inn & Suites

I enjoyed my stay at Humphrey's and think, for the price, it's a great hotel. The rooms could use some updating (and paint) but everything is clean. The location is...interesting. Shelter Island is convenient if you have a car, if not you may feel trapped on this little stretch of SD. The grounds are lush and tropical, and the pool, though small, is well maintained. Be aware that some rooms are directly in front of and behind the concert stage. I'm sure noise levels would be unbearable during a show.

In a word, GREAT. We were only a short drive from everything that we wanted to see, Ocean beach, Midway, Harbor tour, and we found great food both at the restaurant and in the area. The hotel was wonderful with a very nice room, friendly/helpful staff, and fantastic views.

This was our 2nd stay. Love the beautiful, quiet, peaceful, tropical environment. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Staff is amazing, happy and helpful! Some of the rooms are a little dated but I think they're working on that. Next year, we're bringing our 4 kids and staying in a suite!

I traveled to San Diego for a funeral and some business and found the hotel to be in an ideal location and made the trip enjoyable. It was quiet, comfortable and within minutes of driving distance to any of the attractions you may want to see. I personally enjoyed the USS Midway CV-41 Museum.

This hotel very nice. It felt more like a resort. We had several people in our party staying there, and all of the rooms were nice and had great views. My 12 year old son enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. The grounds are just gorgeous, and the room was very quiet; even though ours faced the restaurant, we didn't hear any noise. Beautiful koi pond and see if you can catch the parrots out on their roosts! Loved this hotel and would definitely go back!

An exceptional experience @ an exceptional facility. Staff helpful, kind, professional. Room was clean, comfortable, well kept for each nights stay. Would highly recommend.

I was there for a concert and had initially booked a room for one night but decided to turn my concert getaway into a mini retreat for myself. So glad I did. This place is great. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The grounds are well maintained. The location can't be beat. Will definitely be back!

was like a private tropical resort. . with lots of greenery and boat viewsand city skyline...Away from the city..but close to all.

Grounds were beautiful! Extremely well maintained tropical theme grounds, complete with huge 9 ft deep pool and 12 person hot tub. Free 2 hr beach cruiser bike rental, putting green, and ping pong table. Walking distance to great bakeries and restaurants...plus a boardwalk just up the block! Perfect spot for relaxing! Rooms came with microwave, coffee maker and refrigrator, and seemed to have been revamped not too long ago. Would go back again and again!

This was a Spring Break getaway for my family and I and we were not disappointed. The staff was great, the grounds were beautiful, the pool was awesome, and the location was to die for. The room with two beds was comfy, although the furniture seemed a little dated. It's location was key because it's surrounded by great places to eat and enjoy San Dietgo.
