Decent enough!
The room was clean and smelled clean! Had everything you could need for a quick stay! We didnt hang out at the hotel all day but for a comfy safe place to stay it was great! The beds and pillows were nice too!

the continental breakfast was a little lacking - some fruit would have been nice

"Nice for the price!!"
For the most part, the hotel was okay. Just a couple of things threw me off, they were nothing big. The paths to the rooms are narrow, so when room service is making there rounds, the carts block the walk ways. The other issue was the paths are at a incline which is a little weird for stability, but okay. I AM STAYING THERE AGAIN. Excellent setup in the rooms, conveinient location!

The location is great, because the hotel is basically at the center of all that san Diego has to offer!

Not so great : (
This was just a short beach vacation. The location was okay, but other than that the hotel was unimpressive. We probably will not stay there again.

friendly staff

very family friendly
The Howard Johnson Express was a nice place to stay it was clean too. The big bed made the room look a little samll.I liked blow dryer and the iron it was nice to have .
