Howard Johnson Inn San Diego Hotel Circle

The hotel was nothing special, but that was totally fine. We were just looking for a place to sleep, and it had a bed. There was a small, sketchy looking pool/hot tub that looked pretty unused, and the continental breakfast was a joke, but other than that things were fine. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room that came in handy, as well as your other standard hotel accommodations.

Really I used the hotel only for sleep. The rooms are comfortable and spacius. The only problem was the local web for internet.

Hotel was in the middle of hotel circle and minutes from sea world beaches gaslamp district and several freeways. Room was a little freeway noisy but not detractable. We did have some wifi issues and the pillows are very flat. But hotel was good value for money.

It was good. Great location, we were going to Sea World. We only used the hotel to sleep. Good Value

as we pull up this hotel looked like it was from a scary movie.[...]the staff was not the happiest of people, and i had to go to the nearest retail store to buy sheets for the dirty bed we were giving.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. will not be staying there again. Staff not friendly, rooms smelt like pot and shower had mold.

I went to visit friends for San Diego Pride weekend. The location and price range were the most important considerations for selecting this hotel. I arrived earlier than anticipated but the staff was very accommodating and got me a room rather quickly. The only suggestion to pass along is that the hotel has an arrangement with a taxi cab operator and the fare to and from the San Diego airport is set at a fixed price of $21.

This hotel was terrible. We checked in to find our ceiling leaking in two different places. The door wasn't hung right, so who knows what could have walked in! We tried calling the desk, but the phone didn't work. The plug had been pulled off the phone cord. They gave us another room. There were kids playing in the pool and kids playing football in the parking lot way too late at night.

Not bad for the price, free wi-fi, a light continental breakfast before 9am each morning, copy of USA TODAY free at front desk and a few good restaurants around. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, both the morning and afternoon shifts. The rooms are small, clean with microwave and mini refrigerator, but I would not want my room to be on the third or fourth floor, just too much walking (there is an elevator) for me. Your can get extra towels at the front desk. Only one minor complaint, they need a better quality of soap. The ones in the room are thin and will break apart. Overall, not bad for the price, most of all, it was clean and you do feel safe. Will not hesitate to return again.
