Not as advertised

When I got to the hotel, I was told the WIFI was down. Then, I was told the world class fitness center was not working. Then, none of the vending machines worked. So, instead of paying 1.50 for a drink, you had to buy from the hotel direct at 2.86. No, internet, gym, or vending machines? Not as advertised.

Exceeded my high expectations!

My girlfriend and I went down for a quick weekend getaway this past weekend and I must say this hotel was great! The location is phenomenal, it's only minutes from great shopping (coming from a shop-a-holic), yummy restaurants, the famous Gaslamp Quarter and beaches! The only con is, parking can be pricey. For self parking it's 16.00/day or 20/day for valet which is horrible BC realistically you only need the parking overnight since i'm sure during the day you're out and about enjoying all that gorgeous San Diego has to offer. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we'll definitely be returning soon!!

Holiday Bowl "Go Big Red"

The hotel was beautiful and still decked out for Christmas. Since this was a Bowl Game experience there were people from Arizona as well as Nebraska staying there. The staff members were enthusiastic and delighted to be a part of the comradery. Overall great experience, but we had to pay an additional fee of $14.00 per day to park a rental car.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Spend some time looking at maps or talking to people; the streets and highways are very confusing compared to the midwest.

Horrible Hilton

This hotel is absolutely the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. First, they wouldn't honor the package that I PREPAID for.Had I not PREPAID for the reservation, I would have stayed at the Marriott or Sheraton. Second, they had 2 dogs that kept running up and down the hallway, barking like they were at a kennel! And finally, after I found out that the were charging me for parking(which was included in my package)I parked next door at the car dealership. The hotel still charged me even though I parked off their property! I will never do business with the Hilton chain again!

Great Hotel!

The location of this hotel is great! It's so close to the beaches, shopping, downtown and the airport. Anywhere you want to go is just a hop, skip and a jump away. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. They're a little on the small side, but we really just slept there, so it didn't make that much of a difference. My only complaint was the level of noise coming from the other rooms. There were several families on our floor and we could hear all there early morning comings and goings while we were still trying to sleep. It's a small price to pay for a nice, clean room at a great rate.

A very nice hotel

I enjoyed the room and to close proximity to the Mission Valley Transit Station. I was able to see San Diego by trolly, and get good exercise by walking from my hotel. The lounge and dinning areas were very nice.
