Very good but not excellent
The location is perfect - right across the street from the conference center, and the room (in the Loft), was large, bright, and clean. Only two qualms: 1) no Wi-fi in the room. Not even by purchase. There is an ethernet cord, but this is totally useless for ipad users, or if you just want to work from the bed instead of the desk. Wi-fi is a must have for a business hotel! 2) The housekeeping service kept coming by every morning at 8:30 am, even on Sunday! They did a good job, but it seems inappropriate to be knocking on people's doors to clean their rooms that early in the morning.

Convention Center Gem
I stayed here for a conference at the Convention Center. The location was convenient for running back to the room to get work done. Even better it being right at Gas Lamp gates was ideal for client meetings, dinner and nightlife. It's less than a 10 min walk to the bay front shopping village as well which was welcome when the downtime finally came. Front desk was great and room was clean w a comfy bed. I'd definitely return. It's not as big as Marriott, Hyatt or the Bay front Hilton but it's great for its purpose.

Ok. Good locale
Good location for gas lamp. Pool and fitness center mediocre. Constant train and trolley sounds. Convention center and petco park very close. NO IN ROOM WIFI.

Hotel was located right in the gaslamp quarter where everything is just walking distance. Night life is great around there its the best area to be at. Hotel was just so comfortable n perfect. It was a great deal and overall the best. No complaints here.

Great for going to the Convention Center
There is some train noise, but the great location makes up for that. The room was nice and big, and the pool was pretty good. The lobby and outside sitting area is good for hanging out.

Luxury with "landmark noises!"
35.00 for parking, no other options with downtown location. Staff wonderful! Room excellent! BUT the train outside will hoot it's horn ALL night! Within walking distance of the great downtown attractions where night life abounds! Overall great time!

Great for the Gaslamp
The location of this hotel cannot be any better. Right in the heart of the gaslamp quarter for a good price. Don't expect anything fancy, but they do have a small bar, restaurant, and patio that are inviting. Within walking distance of all gaslamp quarter attractions including the convention center, restaurants, and Petco Park. The only potential downside is that there is no onsight parking. Valet only at an expected city price!
