High-rise luxury along San Diego Bay
When the Hilton San Diego Bayfront opened in 2008, the property quickly became one of the tallest hotels in San Diego. Today, the glass-and-steel edifice towers over the Bay itself, offering guests spectacular views of the entire city. The property features PURE Allergy-Friendly guestrooms for visitors with allergies, a 24-hour fitness room, a heated outdoor pool and a full-service spa onsite. Odysea, one of three on-site restaurants, spotlights American dim sum and creative cocktails.
Highlights
  • High-rise tower offers fantastic views of San Diego
  • PURE Allergy-Friendly guestrooms for visitors with allergies
  • Dine on American-style dim sum at Odysea, one of three on-site restaurants.
Rooms

The Hilton San Diego Bayfront offers 1,190 rooms, including 30 suites. All accommodations are spacious and modern, with furniture and carpets that still feel new. Each room comes standard with a flat-screen TV, bath products from Crabtree & Evelyn, MP3 docking station and in-room safe. Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet access are available (fees apply). Pets are welcome (fees apply).

Features

The Hilton San Diego Bayfront has become famous for its views of the San Diego Bay.

Guests appreciate views from a giant open-air lobby patio that doubles as a sitting area. Guests receive complimentary access to the on-site fitness center and heated outdoor pool. The on-site spa offers a variety of treatments (fees apply). Jogging and walking paths surround the property and connect with other trails in the area.

Meals at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront are eclectic, thanks to three reliable eateries. The most upscale of the trio is Vela, which serves fresh California cuisine. At Odysea, visitors can pair American dim sum with wines from all over the world. Catch a game at the Fox Sports Grill on one their many high definition TVs while enjoying a casual meal. The hotel also features a full service Starbucks.

Nice place but expensive!

This hotel is very beautiful and very clean, the staff is professional and nice. The only thing I found wrong with it is that they charge 33.00 for self park and 40 something to valet per night!!! They also don't offer free wifi with a room rate of 200.00 + a night which is really ridiculous. I understand its the Hilton and all but they should bring down the price of parking and include Wifi. I'm honestly not going to return.

Pretty on the outside and not great inside

They really don't accommodate to their guest. They sell their parking to convention patrons so there are no do signature floors for hotel guest so you need to search for parking. Especially having to pay $32. They have all you can drink day parties which leave creepy stranglers behind. They have a non working slide. There is more When I stated my negative to experience to the concierge my answer " this is more of a convention hotel". What kind of convention? Convention going day drunk guest! Skip it!

Great location. Didn't need to drive for two days. Biking and walking was good with everything close. Didn't like the $30 a day parking fee.

noisy and way too expensive

It is really noisy, you can hear traffics outside, and people walking through the hallway all the time. You will be easily waked up by people talking in the hallway or open/close their doors. My room is relatively close to the elevator, you can hear it open/close as well. I asked for a quieter room, I was asked to pay extra for upgrade. Seriously? with nearly $200 room charge plus $30 self parking, you still ask for extra for a quiet room!!! There is no coffee machine in the room, since I was told there is a starbucks downstairs, you are right, I waited for 30 minutes in a long line in a cold morning for a couple of coffee.

Great location by the bay

The hotel is very conveniently located by downtown and seaport village. We were at first booked in a room that labeled overlooking the Coronado bridge.. They call the "industrial view" at checkin. I found it to be a little too industrial for my liking and requested downtown view for a few dollars more. It was well worth it. The Staff were very professional and nice. Parking ran about $30 a night. Something I will never get use to... The rooms were decent. Relative to newer hotels it may seem somewhat an older style. There wasn't a fridge in the room. But the room/bathroom overall was pleasant!
